Beautiful little hotel right in the heart of Plaka! The rooms are clean and comfortable and staff very friendly. This place is perfect for those wanting to explore Athens as the main sights are within a short walk, including Acropolis, etc. There are lots of restaurants and shops nearby. The area felt very safe.
A couple of things/tips you should know:
noise: Although the street is quiet at night and there is no traffic noise, please be aware that the churches next door ring bells every hour. Yes, even at night! If you are a light sleeper, this place isn't for you. The rooms located on the level with the main entrance can hear everything and everyone entering/exiting the building.
Taxi/uber: I recommend taking the taxi to "Restaurant Scholarhio". From the left side of the restaurant, you have step free access to the road, which takes you straight to the hotel within 2 minutes.
Roof top terrace/balcony: what a fantastic little hidden gem to unwind and admire the views of Athens after a busy day of exploring. This is a shared space for all the residents of Acron Athens.
late night arrivals: they are very accommodating; you will get a code to access the building, and the room key will be on the room door ready for you.
view: please note there are limited number of rooms with outside view. Some of the rooms are looking into the corridor. That's fine if you are spending the days exploring, however if you are planning to spend more time in the room (for example, to work) it can feel a bit claustrophobic and I would recommend booking the room with a view. Each room has a desk...
Read moreAlexandria greeted us warmly when we arrived, she even allowed us to check in 3 hours early! This place feels more like being in someone's home rather than a hotel and is nestled right beside the Acropolis and near the busy Plaka area without being noisy.
The rooms have old-style doors and windows that are very unique! I saw some reviews stating that they had issues with noisy shutters but we were on the first floor and didn't experience any issues since there is a window and then the shutters inside.
The room we stayed in had two large beds and was a perfect size for three people. It has all the facilities anyone might need including excellent water pressure, AC, complimentary coffee and tea in the room, and a spectacular view from the small terrace above!
The only criticism I can think of is that it can be noisy when other guests enter since our room was close to the entrance, however, this was a small issue and was still able to rest and relax.
I would definitely stay here again! Thank...

A newly renovated building dated back in the 1900's has been restablished as a modern architectural statement of the greek hospitality. The accommodation offers all the up-to-date comforts with a unique touch of the greek welcoming feeling. The views of the picturesque cultural center of Athens (Acropolis, Lycabetus, Plaka) both from the rooms and the hotel terrace will leave any guest with the longing feeling of the Athenian cultural grandiose. Our Superior room on the first floor was meticulously clean and fresh, equipped with high-end upholstery and linen. Mr. Yannis, the hotel manager, was amazingly helpful with our check-in and check-out as well as with all our requests about the right places in Athens. The place is a great value for those looking for an affordable luxurious experience of the cultural center of Athens and an definite...
