First day in Oia and reading amazing reviews, came here for lunch expecting great food, service and atmosphere.

We got to pick a seat for two anywhere (mind you it was already packed so most of the outside tables already taken). 5 minutes in, 3 outside table diners finished so we ask if we can move to an outside table - by which we were only able to ‘swap tables’ to the get a better water view if we were ordering food (which we were since it was outside.

We ordered the lotza burger and mousaka for lunch. To my horror I found one long palm length blond hair strand intertwined in the meatball/burger patty which was enough to turn us off the food that just arrived at our table after ordering (FYI, we are Asian couple in mid 30s so it was DEFINITELY NOT one of our hairs). As we were waiting hours in line for the dome photos prior to lunch already hot and bothered and first meal of the day, we felt obliged to eat what we could then leave as oppose to waiting for the meal to be replaced and waiting another 20 minutes for the food to come out again.

Service - was ok, they checked in with us a couple of times to make sure we were ok, however it felt like we had to ‘pay’ for a view table which felt like we had to earn a nice table.

Food - the moussaka was nice tasting and presented well on the plate however the lotza burger (deconstructed) with the blond hair stand left me feeling unsatiated.

If we weren’t so hot and bothered and this cafe being the first meal of the day, we woulda had time to send back the dish for replacement.

Just watch out for possible hair in your food, especially in the meatball sauce if ordering the ‘Lotza burger’. Fortunately the moussaka was hair free if that’s anything to give stars to...

If you are travelling with a baby DO NOT GO THERE and here is why:

We entered with a baby and a baby stroller (Mac Laren, small) and a very rude Asian girl told us that baby strollers were not allowed so we had to leave it outside. We didn’t want to leave it at the entrance as we were carrying all his baby food there and his diapers. She raised her voice at us because we were late in leaving the baby stroller outside. FYI We are a couple with a baby and the terrace wasn’t even full so there was no need. But the worse part came when we took a small bottle of water from the baby stroller as our baby was thirsty and with very bad manners, the Asian lady told us to not drink from it as it was not allowed and that we needed to buy one from there. We again said that it was for the baby and we didn’t need to buy one as we had one full for him. So what did they do? They charged us a cappuccino for 7€ instead of the normal price and 11€ for each yogurt that we had.

The Asian woman shouldn’t be running any type of hospitality places as she gives a very bad impression to tourists. You need to be flexible and nice with customers specially if you are travelling with babies and have a bit of empathy if you are charging 30€ for a 15min break. And of course do not play with the bill!!

We couldn’t complain about the bill and double check it because we were late for our cruise ship.

I referred to the Asian woman not because I’m racist, but because she was the only screaming to everyone. The rest...
