Lioyerma Lounge Cafe Pool Bar — Restaurant in Municipality of Thira

This review is not reflected based upon the service or food as we didn’t reach that stage. We decided to spend the day in Oia and good part of it here to chill. We called few days in advance and there was no answer for some time, then when finally someone answered mentioned that they cannot give us reservation, but if we come at 12, we can get a decent seating around the pool. We reached 12:10, all lounges were taken, and when I say all, I mean the few scattered old ones around the very small pool. We accepted our fate and decided to take the sofa on the side which had no shade or umbrella, however, as we went to the changing room we were surprised by it, it’s small, dirty, dark, the cushions are stained and cannot be considered whatever they call it. At this stage we decided to leave after wasting a good 30 min of our time, we walked to one of the nice hotels nearby and spend a marvellous time by its pool.

Even before our arrival, I had high expectation for the pool bar as it had good reviews & was advertised that it has one of the largest pools in Oia and fantastic views of the famous sunset. Yes! I have to admit it was one of the best places one could watch the world famous Oia sunset. A glass of strawberry Daiquiri was just perfect and icing on the cake for the dreamy evening. But not all was perfect. Firstly, 'one of the largest pools in Oia' was a mere plunge pool you can hardly swim in. Screaming children running amok around pool. My competitive swimmer son had no hesitation to turn away from it. Secondly, the toilet area was absolutely diabolical; hideous sewer smell, dirty, wet floor with used toilet paper scattered around. It wasn't a cheap place; 10 euro minimum spend per person, 13.5 euros for a cocktail, if you get in before 6:30 pm, you have to pay 5 euros each for a deck chair, 10 euros for a sun bed and 2 euros for a chair on top of the minimum spend, and therefore I expect a bit better standard. And there was a construction site down below which has many unsightly things lying around, which distracts your attention away from the gorgeous sunset and Aegean sea views. Hopefully it will...

Yesterday, after a long day filled with Santorini chaos, me and my friends came upon the Lioyerma Lounge. For anyone in the Santorini Area looking for excellent, tasty, well priced food; this is without a doubt the best place to go. The food is made excellently without any problems or poor dishes, with all meals not skimping on meat or portion size. Even food that is commonly done poorly or without care such as vegetarian food, is done excellently. I also saw a poor review about the orange juice? I can personally a definitively say this is completely false. The juice was fresh and worthwhile, certainly not watered down.

Now I must mention the staff. If you are blessed enough to meet the Georgian Waiter, also known as George; please tell him Ilia Topuria’s Number One fan sends his regards, polite, helpful and funny, if you get the opportunity to eat here, I would take it immediately. Hospitality, Excellent service and food made well by trained chefs, what more can you ask for?
