We enjoyed our stay at Fanari Villas! The view of the sunset from our outdoor patio was priceless! The authentic cave style of the villa allowed us to immerse into Santorini culture💙🤍 We got there during some strong cold winds so were not able to utilize the outdoor refreshing whirlpool but still got to enjoy the views from multiple spots on our patio and terrace! The location was great to walk right into the town of Oia through a path of multiple stair alleyways. ||The Fanari team completely enhanced our fond memories of Santorini. Costas was a warm welcome and helped answer many of our questions. Rina was always friendly and helpful and even gave us a wonderful suggestions for one of our day adventures. We greatly appreciate that as we would not have found that spot without her recommendation! Katarina and Vladimire where also kind and knowledgeable each time we interacted with them! I missed getting the name of the waiter that served us our front row sunset dinner but he was great and also took a picture for us right at sunset!||We enjoyed being spoiled with breakfast in our villa one morning and enjoyed the breakfast buffet at the restaurant the other mornings. The breakfasts and dinners we had were all fantastic. I was excited to surprise my husband with the additional package add-on of fresh flowers, fruits, chocolates and champagne when we arrived. It's not something I usually do so it was really a fun treat and Fanari did not disappoint with that addition! We even had rose petals on the floor in the villa when we got there! They also added some extra fabulous Santorini love to all that luxury🍷.||We were there in the middle of November and although the winds and rain did limit some of our activity choices, the crowds were minimal and there were plenty of shops and restaurants still open. We would choose this way every time. ||Thank you Fanari Villas and your wonderful team for our Santorini...
Read moreThis is a lovely hotel with beautiful views. The reception staff are very friendly and helpful. I’d love to give it five stars but there were a couple of problems with our stay. Due to a dust storm and over use of water (for cleaning) throughout the area, there was no running water in our room when we arrived. There was running water in some of the hotel’s rooms, as well as the main areas, but not in the family room that we’d booked. We were told that hopefully water would return within a couple of hours. It didn’t. At around 10pm (approximately seven hours later) staff informed us that they would shift us to a room with running water, which they did. Naturally this was a significant inconvenience – we had to repack after unpacking and I’d had to have a shower by the pool as I couldn’t do in the privacy of our room.||I of course understand that the lack of water in the area and in our room was not the fault of the hotel (they were also very apologetic and kindly gave us some complimentary drinks) BUT I don’t think they should have put guests into a room with no running water. I feel that we should have been put into a room with running water from the start, with a view that we could be moved to our booked room once (or if) the water returned. The room we were moved to was most definitely in need in a good renovation but it was the only available room suitable for accommodating our family. Again I understand this from the hotel’s perspective but it was nevertheless disappointing. We stayed in this room for the duration.||The outdoor terrace by the restaurant is truly stunning, with amazing sunset views. The food, however, is not great. Breakfast was very basic, just about okay, but dinner was very disappointing and not, in my opinion, value for money...
Read moreThe views are absolutely incredible but the staff treatment is just as great as the views. The staff went above and beyond in welcoming us and ensuring we enjoyed our stay. The restaurant food is super delicious and waitstaff was friendly and happy to joke with me or answer any tourist questions I had. The sea bass and pasta were our favorites but there wasn’t a meal we didn’t like. 15% discount on meals for staying at the villas was a pleasant surprise. We stayed 4 nights and Fanari exceeded our expectations the whole time. We enjoyed walking down to the fish restaurants for lunch and cooling off in the pool afterwards. The location provides easy access to the main shopping strip. The Front desk is happy to setup rides or point you in the right direction for activities. They borrowed us a EU to US electric converter instead of having to pay for one at a shop. The sunsets each night were amazing and we felt especially lucky to have our private balcony when hundreds of people lined the streets and steps to catch a view themselves. I ended up leaving my laptop at airport security on our way out of town. I was struggling trying to get the Greek police to ship my laptop back to the US but the front desk at Fanari stepped in, picked up my laptop from the police and shipped it to me!! This saved me a ton of stress. A prime example of how the staff will do anything for you! 5/5 can’t wait to...
