Dear Meshuga,
I am writing to share my recent experience at your Restaurant, which was unfortunately marred by how we were treated during our meal.
My party and I were excited to dine at your restaurant, having heard great things about your menu and service. We arrived promptly and ordered a full meal, including appetizers, main courses, and drinks. We were enjoying our dining experience when, after approximately 1 hour, we were approached by a staff member who informed us that we needed to vacate our table soon to accommodate other guests.
While we understand the importance of managing table turnover, we felt rushed and uncomfortable, especially since we had ordered a proper meal and were still actively consuming our drinks. This experience was further exacerbated by the fact that we felt our presence was no longer welcome. In an attempt to address the situation, the staff offered to waive the service charge and allowed us to remain for an additional hour. While we appreciated the gesture, it did not alleviate the feeling of being hurried out of the restaurant.
Dining out is not just about the food; it’s also about the experience and atmosphere. Regrettably, we left feeling more like an inconvenience than valued guests. I believe that every customer deserves a welcoming environment and the opportunity to enjoy their meal at a comfortable pace.
I hope you can understand our perspective and consider how such situations might be better managed in the future. Thank you for taking the time to read my concerns. I appreciate your attention to this matter.
I would like to respond to your answer below and clarify some facts you have listed. First and most important, we had made a reservation in advance and the confirmation letter stated that after ordering we have 2 hours to stay. And there was no alternative offered just an extra hour (which was originally in the confirmation letter and we planned to stick whith the policy). I had expected better in terms of...
Read moreDefinitely coming back for my honeymoon 🥹 and I can’t wait for chef Yoav, Khidash and everyone else on the Meshuga team to earn their Michelin star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We came to the place with expectations of great food as the reviews have foretold… What we did not expect was to make a friend out of Khidash (probably not spelled correctly), and was offered an off menu item which featured my favourite meat: FISH. Even head chef Yoav personally came out to introduce his creation to us. I don’t know what prompted this kindness from everyone but it made the night so so so delicious and wonderful that I was ready to mark it down as one of my best nights in my life.
… and it gets better! We were so inlove with the food that we tried our luck to ask for more of chef Yoav’s creations and flavours that we asked for more of his work on the following night. HE SAID YES. So we came back on the second night, and we were rolling in bliss for the stupendously amazing af experience. It’s so hard to convey how much chef and his team made our Europe trip the best in my life, that I am feeling quite regretful that we’re leaving so soon.
So please if you have the chance to come upon this diamond, please please please dine in, feel the energy of the place, chat up and make friends with the staff, eat their adventurous and wonderful food, and make your life...
Read moreI have been in Meshuga a couple of the times and if you ask about my opinion I would say: WOW! The foods are not foods but ART! if I would choose a word to describe the whole environment, I would say an ART GALLERY OF PROFESSIONALISM. Everything is at the highest possible level. The waiting and the management team (SAHAR, AMIRHOSSEYN, NORBI, etc.) know as much as a chef about the foods and as much as a wine brand-holder about the wines and the drinks). Their recommendations, descriptions over the drinks and the foods and their professional attitude make even the food and the drinks more enjoyable. The Bartender called CEZAR knows how to make a cocktail that you would talk about it for years after. YOAV is the best chef I have ever met in my life. The foods taste like a symphony!! You need to close your eyes and enjoy the harmony of the flavors. And the vibe and musics along with the whole mentioned elements. After all, Meshuga could be listed as an attraction of Budapest that is an enough reason to travel to Budapest to try an unforgettable collection of the bests! Trust me. Congratulations to the Owner who has a very friendly and professional attitude while...
