One of the best experiences ever. Coming all the way down from the USA, I needed to unwind and relax on a one month trip while down in Kerala. Of course I look to Google for places and review. I came up on Ayurveda Sanctum and it did not disappoint at all.

I did the Total Ayurveda Experience Package which is total 90 minutes experience of pure heavenly bliss in the world capital of Ayurveda therapy. You get 30 minutes of Marma Therapy(full body massage from scalp, head, to toe) with ayurvedic oils. Then 30 minutes of Kizhi Therapy(hot bag with herbs and oils) that are tapped, and massaged into your body. Finally something I have always wanted to try is the Shirodhara Therapy(warm Ayurvedic Essential Oils are dripped onto your forehead and rolls into your hair and nourishes your hair while relieving mental stress.

I 100% recommend coming to Ayurveda Sanctum. Don't miss out on this amazing experience. On top of that everything is so clean and spot on what I expected. The owner Dr. Pramod Kumar, is amazing and hospitable. He speaks perfect English, Hindi, and Malyalam. His staff of masseuse are fully certified and trained. You can tell when an owner takes pride in his business and can stand by it for quality service and Ayurveda Sanctum checks off all boxes. If I could give 10 stars, I would. Also you can tell the masseuse if you need a hard or more relaxed massage and the owner will relay it to them.

Honestly expected a bit more from the price tag ($57). The package I got covered the basic Ayurvedic care: Marma point massage, Kizhi, and Shirodhara (30 min each). The massage was the highlight for me, but not super detailed. Felt very general and not specific for the knots present in my body. The Kizhi left me feeling tense due to the heat of the herbal pack causing me to draw away three separate times. After the first time, I thought my practitioner would be more careful about the heat, since it was clearly too hot. However, like I said, this proceeded to happen two more times. I was tense throughout this segment of the treatment and unable to relax because I was worried about the heat of the herbs the entire time. The Shirodhara was generally good. I don't think it's personally for me, but I can appreciate the technique and it was better here than another one I have received. However, my practitioner spilled oil across my eyes and nose/mouth in the beginning of this segment of the treatment.
