Service and products were not at par the industry standards. Too many staff members lingering about not willing to help the customers though except a few, maybe two out of 10. Overall, the Ambience looked a little dirty and not kept up for the kind of profile of people that should be coming to a solid location like this. Vegetables were rather old, and the look and display was very stale with all the staff members gossiping around in groups. Extremely unpleasant to see that, and upon being cautious of the fact that I have made the effort to go all the way I requested the staff to check for fresh items only to see them gossip more about me because there was no one else at that counter I mean, no other customer. The groceries section had a decent display of products, however very cramped movement which didnât allow me to reach to the last bits of lentils and spices I could have purchased otherwise. The highlight here seemed like the snacks and beverages section and a lot of push by some of the staff to sell of a based products which were jacked up on the price and then given to understand that there is a complimentary one if you purchase, however, upon breaking down the price, it was very expensive even the first product. I donât understand what kind of market or customers are they trying to cater to. Vikash counter was pleasant with the lady who did her job as good as anyone else would have in any other international or domestic checkout counter. However, there was dirt and uncleanliness at the place where the products were kept for the scanner to check the prices. Again, making an unpleasant experience because every product had to be kept on that dirty desk. Upon exit and requesting for a Home Delivery, the manager was rather reluctant, and I had to insist to provide help, which I told them right at the beginning when I stepped foot yet there was a lot of resistance. I just want to raise this to the management that the Brand positioning of Spencer started really well during Covid times but over the years for such a prime location as Southern Avenue it feels it has been reduced to a pathetic experience and struggle for those who come in because they are already trapped by making the effort to reach there. Please have better clean standards more hygiene, pleasant looking and speaking staff and most importantly a good happy smiling exit if this above is not taken care of, it will be such a waste of a fabulous location and the size of the store that has been acquired by Spencer.    Read moreI wish I could give negative rating for the Customer care. It is responsible of the sales person to give all the details about the product, itâs warranty and exchange offers. But because of irresponsible sales person, we had to loose certain amount of INR.
So this is how it goes. We have purchased a mixer grinder from this Spencerâs store on Feb 1 2021. But we wanted to exchange the grinder for some bad reviews of the product online. When we went to the store to exchange, the so called customer service without even looking at the product says âgo upstairs to exchange the productâ, then after going upstairs the so called another sales person along with the manager says âit canât be exchanged as the warranty has stampedâ. But we werenât notified about this policy by the sales person before. And they were showing me the bill policy, but we donât have the bill in hand when we were looking at the product. The management should understand this thin line. The manager is also very rude and doesnât know how to treat customers.
