The Steak Factory as you can understand from the name itself its a place or as I would say its a heaven for meat lovers. The Steak Factory is a very renowned name in Kolkata . And the place is run by Chef Rohan Chanda. This is their newly opened outlet at Salt lake Sector 1. When you walk into the restaurant do feel like you have entered into the 70's movie set and the place is huge and has lots of nickname's and vintage items. Loved the decor of the place and the seating arrangement.
I had visited this place with few of my friends and we had an amazing time there.

Read moreHaving had a delightful experience a few years ago, I eagerly convinced my family to revisit this place, brimming with positive expectations. Unfortunately, the restaurant seems to have suffered a disaster after the pandemic. Walking in, the atmosphere gave us a warning sign. Except the restaurant staff, not even a single soul was present there. Despite the spectral emptiness, we were left unattended for a good ten minutes before anyone even acknowledged our presence. Once the order was finally placed, the appetizers arrived with a glacial pace, taking a staggering 25 minutes for a mere spread of mozzarella-less meatballs, perhaps the cheese mysteriously vanished into thin air? unseasoned French fries, and Cajun fish that, while spicy, displayed a similar lack of flavor. Having already navigated the appetizers, we pleaded the waiter to ask the chef to atleast season the main course with some taste . But I guess our pleas fell on deaf ears. The mixed grill platter was a mere display of lukewarm, uninspired vegetables, and the garlic bread, well, let's just say a roadside vendor with a rusty cart could have produced something more palatable. The "Pot Roasted Mutton" was a sad excuse for a curry. The crowing disappointment was the Chello Kebab. The seekh kebabs resembled wood, crumbling at the slightest touch, stale, dry, colourfull toys called chicken kebabs were sold. The rice, devoid of butter or any moisture, could have doubled as punishment. When we dared to voice our concerns about the seekh kebabs and the rice, the waiter, declared this to be the restaurant's standard operating procedure, further adding that they've never received a bad review. Feeling trapped in a culinary wasteland, we had to face a bitter end – a caramel custard which was bitter and not even sweet. Quite frankly speaking, the entire experience, from the ambiance to the insipid food and the staff's indifferent attitude, left us speechless. If the owner has any shred of culinary pride left, a complete overview from the kitchen staff to the management's attitude is desperately needed. I'd recommend youu to have food at home instead of wasting your money in this...
