Bhojohori Manna — Restaurant in Kolkata

The worst outlet of BHOJOHORI MANNA, I have ever visited. I would love to give 5 star as according to me Bhojohori manna is in another level among other authentic bengali restaurants. But I was very upset after visiting this branch. First of all the staffs are very arrogant and not polite. I usually order Bengali polao with kosha mangso. The quantity of polao was good. The quantity of kosha mangso was very bad. The pieces of meat was not properly boiled. The pieces were so hard that I can't even cut it properly. The gravy was very bad in taste. Don't know but it was a bit sour. Besides these I took paneer koraishutir tarkari. But believe me there was not a single number of koraishuti. 6 small pieces of paneer with little white gravy was served. I visited the sector 2 saltlake outlet. That was 1/4 th of this outlet but I must say the quality, quantity and hospitality is much much better than this outlet. Someone may not agree with me. But I just shared my experience. And other thing I have noticed that most of the items of menu card are missing. This is not only happened with me but there are other customers. What they asked for all are finished. Is this the way a branded restaurant to be organized?? You will surely get an alternative for what you asked for. Say you ordered polao they would say no there is only steamed rice. Most interesting thing is that they will suggest you what should you eat with polao. As if you don't know what dish should take with polao just because they can't served that dish. You may feel that you are bound to eat those dishes what they will suggest. This is ridiculus. Most important thing that the staffs don't know how behave with a customer. Their way of talking, appearance all are unprofessional. It seems like they are feeding you for free of cost.

Only one thing is good in this outlet is that the behaviour of the gentleman who stand outside to welcome the customers. He is really a good human being and polite.

The one star is only for him and the staff who took away our used plates and bowls and obviously for the mineral water served for free.

It's a humble request to the concerned authority of BHOJOHORI MANNA. Please take care of these facts. Because I will think 100 times before visiting this...

Pathetic experience while dining there this week. Few things I would like to elucidate around here. Let's do it while summing 'em up in Points.

1. Very crowded place to start with . Around 10-14 tables with very badly maintained hygiene. Tables were neither clean nor properly Sanitized.

2. Had to wait for the Waiter to take our order for almost 20 min. While the cleaning person took long to clean the table while we stood there waiting.

3. Ordered Mutton curry and Fish along with Rice and Roti . Mutton was overly cooked with Almost No meat with the bones. The gravy was very oily. The rotis were fine. And so was the rice . The fish was raw inside while it's gravy was clearly made long before in order to save time during more number of Orders.

4. The Waiters keep brushing against us while moving around the tables since they seem to be puzzled and in haste to complete the table orders. Very disorganized.

5. very disappointed we asked for the cheque, for which we had to wait for another 20 min sitting there on The table while no one came to clean it / takeaway the food plates .

6. there's no parking availability outside the restaurant. Don't use car , we had to park more than a block from the restaurant. Also, mostly is the towing zone.

7. the most disappointing thing is that when the restaurants make a Name for them in the restaurant/ food market , they don't try to keep it intact. They just start deteriorating in terms of service and food as they know they have become a so called BRAND NAME.....

Very ridiculous way of treating the customers who pay their bills in return of a decent and a peaceful meal. God bless those ( OTHER FOOD JOINTS/RESTAURANTS )who are still humans and who don't try to RUN THIS PATHETIC RIP-OFF...... UTTERLY DISAPPOINTING. NOT...

The food is ok but pretty heavy and value for money is not too good. The food is fine, the fish fry was good but one would expect better food and ambiance at that price range.here are very very deliscious and best for bengali food lover. its is located at jessore road ,very good ambaince and extremlt mouth watering menu. the resturant is very good for its presentation and amount of food served to the customer which is very appealing to the people .The best resturant ambiance can be enjoyed by the customer.And the value for money is affordable for the common peoplefood that’s not too heavy on your pockets, and still doesn’t compromise with the quality, Bhojohori Manna is your place. Although almost all the branches serve good food, I prefer the Salt Lake branch. My personal favorite is the Dakbungalow Chicken. It is melt-in-the-mouth delicious, and is best had with tawa rotis. Also, try nolen gurer kulfi for dessert. You won’t be dissapointed.Bhojohori Manna, means ’food’ , and this restaurant has awesome varieties of dishes, bengali dishes, which is yum and iressistable.The first time visit as we were not aware how the food would be but the food amazed us esp loved the chingari malai curry and mutton korma.The decor and ambience was just too good. The food was awesome with fabulous rates, no doubt I loved it. The servicing was just too good, proper on time. The food and presentation was too good quite different from other restaurants.The menu had variety of dishes at very reasonable rates. The food was just awesome. Njoyed the food. Go for it....
