The Panino at Il Bocconino in Murano has absolutely reestablished the high water mark for what a sandwich should be.
I started with a porchetta with formaggio and melanzana (eggplant spread). It was plenty big for any normal human without an addiction to amazing sandwiches (that's me). I went back for seconds and asked for schiacciata (spicy salame) with "chefs choice" of other toppings and they DID NOT DISAPPOINT.
I told this wonderful woman, "vivo qui adesso" (I live here now) and she immediately knew I meant "in her shop". Fly here immediately and eat these panini until you die. I promise you'll die happy.
