Gelateria Patagonia — Local services in Verona

One of the worst experiences I've ever had!! A bottle of water from this gelato shop costed me 46 euros! Last weekend, I bought a bottle of water and gave 50 euros to the guy who was serving. He was with his mother, both working for his uncle, who was the owner of the business. Shockingly, they claimed I had only given them 10 euros. I politely asked them and the owner (who was in the corner watching a football match when this happened) to verify it, as I was certain, and my friend who was with me also saw the amount of money I had given. Despite my polite request for verification, they responded with screams, insults, and racist remarks like, "Are you Romanian? Bulgarian? Moldavian? They cause a lot of problems in our country."

This behavior was deeply offensive and completely unacceptable. It's appalling that tourist, like myself and my friend, who also might be from Romania, Bulgaria, Moldavia, or elsewhere, are treated this way—being cheated, insulted, and discriminated against. I even suggested checking the security cameras to clear up any confusion, but they continued their aggressive and racist behavior. The lady, especially, seemed intent on protecting her son, likely aware of his regular scams.

This is not an isolated incident; this employee likely targets other tourists, while the owner remains unaware. The police were involved, but unfortunately, they were unable to provide significant assistance.

The BEST, #1, Nocciola Piemonte, my wife and I ever had! Their Bacio de Giulietta is “to die for!” ( Romeo did 🥰) Creamy, not too sweet, whole roasted hazelnuts that sit on top to stay crunchy until scooped out for you. We had the same flavors two nights in a row-There’s so many flavors I want to try but I’m here only two nights LOL. They take Apple Pay so no worries. If you want to impress your loved ones, get them this! It’s definitely cheaper than any over-priced fashion design clothes on this...

Well, I could make a long review but the place is not even worth it so I’ll go straight to the point! What kind of ice cream place don’t let you try ice cream before you buy it?? THIS PLACE!! Not child friendly at all! And after telling me I couldn’t try a flavour they gave me the WRONG flavour! Anyway, there are a million other ice cream places in Verona so don’t waste your time and money in this one! Verona is cool though...just not this...
