Disappointing Experience
As a vintage TMNT collector, I was extremely frustrated by my experience at Admski. I visited the shop and found a U.S. release of the TMNT "Needlenose" figure priced at 13,800 JPY, marked as "incomplete" with missing wings. The figure was in its non-factory-sealed box, which was in fair condition. When the employee opened the box for inspection at the counter, I immediately noticed that the "missing" wings were, in fact, present inside. Believing it was the right thing to do, I pointed this out to the employee. However, after consulting with the manager, the employee returned and informed me that because the figure was now considered "complete," the price was being tripled to 29,900 JPY. This is an excessive and unfair increase, significantly above the market value for this item in its current condition. I attempted a respectful and reasonable counteroffer of 20,000 JPY, but it was immediately declined. I believe tripling the price after realising the listed condition was incorrect (in the store's favor) is poor business and highly disappointing. I left empty-handed and profoundly frustrated. The lack of fair pricing and willingness to negotiate ruined the experience. Read moreThis store is on floor B1F. Due to the way it is written on Google maps you might think this store is i the 1st floor. But it is in level B1F. Go down the escalator near a shop that sells some fancy stuff, make a U-turn to the right and you'll find it.
This palace was a great trip down memory lane! This store has all kinds of things from the 70s, 80s, 90s and up. I found everything from action figures to car rims. From drum cymbals to bottle caps. Bicycles, ghettoblasters, VHS tapes, Hotwheels, marvel figures, DC figures, old videogame consoles, guitars and amplifiers, fax machines.... The list goes on and on... There is so much stuff in this store it's insane. And definetly worth a look if you're into vintage toys, or just into vintage items in general. The store is absolutely PACKED to a point where you can hardly move. It truly is a treasure trove in there, so...
Read moreTotally unexpected to find such a hobby and collectibles store, right in Namba station.
The offerings are very rare and eclectic, mainly focusing on vintage toys and things for car enthusiasts. So there’s a huge collection of vintage car toys, old model brochures, slot car sets from the 70s and vintage car stereo gear (some new in boxes). Well worth a visit if you’re in Namba/Dotonbori and it’s hard to leave empty handed.
It’s in the maze of tunnels around the station, head towards Namba Walks and look for signs for Riders Fact (it’s just...
