BRAND OFF — Local services in Osaka

Compared to many other stores in the area, the staff here were noticeably inattentive at first. When I finally began inspecting two items of the same model/different year and graded very differently, a staff member abruptly approached me mid-inspection, saying “That’s okay, that’s okay,” and attempted to take one of the items away (without explanation). I explained, somewhat confused, that I was comparing both items, to which he replied “Okay,” but then continued to hover behind me, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere. I would have totally understood or it would have been a more positive experience if the staff member had started the interaction with “Can I offer you any assistance” instead of trying to take the item away from me without explanation.

Out of the 8-10 staff they had in store, not one of them approached me asking whether I needed further information, offered assistance in any way or even offered their time to help a buying customer. My whole experience was disappointing given the competitive nature of the surrounding stores, many of which offer far more attentive service.

Note: they do have a great selection of products at competitive prices from various designers such as Chanel, LV, Prada, Miu...

I was looking for a specific bag in this area and when I found it in this store they had the best price, so after looking at the bag and deciding to buy it I went to the counter where there were two workers. They completely ignored me for about five minutes, literally talking to other customers (who were locals) behind me, it was like I didn’t exist. I was about to leave the bag and only then did they talk to me and say they would help me in a minute. How hard was that to say when I first walked up to the counter?? I’m embarrassed to say that I actually ended up purchasing from here, I wish I just left it and paid a little bit more at another store where they actually treated customers nicely. This branch has a really wide selection of different brands, and most of the items are in great condition. Some are even brand-new styles, which was nice to see. The prices are still a bit on the high side, but that’s pretty common for good-quality second-hand bags.

Overall, I think it’s worth checking out if you’re looking for a pre-loved bag that’s still in excellent shape. The variety alone makes it a fun place to browse, and you might just find...
