DISCO — Local services in Tokyo

Booking an appointment with Disco is super convenient and easy. I messaged @kaoriymd_ on IG and she was quick to respond and asked for more details about what services are needed. Booking appointments for an international trip can be stressful and filled with uncertainty, so Kaori’s swift replies was very helpful as I planned the rest of my itinerary.

The appointment was really great and service was amazing. The studio was very comfortable and so cute! Kaori was acccomodating by speaking English and worked with me to create a new custom design. I just let her know what colors I like and let her do whatever design she wanted. I loved all of the designs on her IG so I trusted her creative direction. It was a pleasure to chat with her and learn about her nail design history, she is so sweet.

I highly recommend this studio, their staff is so sweet and their designs have a unique, fresh, and modern aesthetic. I’ll be back when I visit...

Visited Disco on a recent trip to Tokyo and so glad I did! It was super easy to book the appointment, I simply dm’d Kaori (one of the nail artists) on Instagram with dates/times that worked for me and she was quick to respond/confirm!

During the appointment, I showed Kaori some nail inspiration pics I had gathered and she was able to use those pics and her own creativity to curate a unique design for me! It was really fun watching her mix different colours and use different techniques to formulate the nail art, and Kaori was super meticulous in everything she did.

The studio itself is also easy to find, beautiful, and clean. While prices might be on the higher end compared to other salon options in Tokyo, all the prices are fully disclosed on their site and I thought the experience and results were well worth the cost! I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Tokyo :)...

I’ve been following DISCO on IG for awhile and super excited I was able to book an appointment during my visit to Tokyo. Reservation can be made online in advance and it was fairly easy.

I got my nails done by Kaori who spoke and understood English. She was also very patient removing my stubborn hard gel/acrylics gently, whereas in California they would usually dump my fingers in acetone which can dry out my hands.

I showed her examples of what I wanted from her previous work, but was open to anything as long as it was in the cooler hues. I was very happy with the final design especially the the one on my left thumb. She used a magnet to give it two color tones.
