This is a review from someone who did not just come to look at the architecture but to actually buy something as a foreigner:
This is a very popular and big Prada store. If you come to visit you might be asked to go to a sitting area to wait for your turn. They will serve you champagne or sparkling water while you wait or upon request. This was my first time having to wait for my turn at a Prada store but I appreciate that they found an english speaking staff member named Lucas to help me. Lucas made the experience so much easier and more comfortable for me. Thank you for your amazing service Lucas!
I have to also agree with some of the other reviews that there is a lady by the front of the store / entrance who has a bit of a rude attitude. She seems to be the stuck up and arrogant type of person. I don’t know if she is the “Chinese lady” that other reviews are referring to but she was by the entrance. Whoever the manager is should really be aware that this lady should be assigned to another position. I am assuming she is put there because of her looks but she is not professional enough. I am not going to Prada because of how good looking the employees are. The lady needs better training and should be replaced by someone who actually has a better personality. Japan is known for its incredible quality of service and this is also the Prada store so why would you have an unprofessional staff member at the front entrance? I could also hear her talking to another employee about what race / background I was out loud. Just because you don’t think I can understand Japanese doesn’t mean I can’t understand what you are saying in Japanese about me. It’s okay to be curious but having a whole conversation out loud about me right behind me is so unprofessional! Please go do that on your break or in private and try to be a little more professional.
If you are an english speaking foreigner I highly recommend that you ask for Lucas to assist you for shopping. He is very professional and has a great...
Read moreCould not believe the japan flagship store has the same level of customer service as some market’s. Went into the store with a friend wanting to show her the wallet I’m considering buying. Immediately we had this Asian-looking undercut glasses guy follow us around from 1F to 4F. Not sure what he did during the training period but he obviously did not “keep a comfortable distance” from me and my friend. We felt as if we were criminals 😃 He CONSTANTLY followed us around and even said “This is main store” when I tried to point the design to my friend. What is your point? You can say goodbye to your 5% commission. Can’t believe a store at Prada’s made such a rookie mistake on the sales floor when people forking out 1000usd for...

Around 6 PM on October 21st, 2024, my wife and I visited a Prada store located at 5-2-6 Minami-Aoyama, Minato-ku, Tokyo. As we are from Taiwan, we wanted to check out the Prada store in Japan and find some nice bags to bring back to Taiwan.
When we entered the store, a female employee who looked to be 30-40 years old kept closely following us. On the first floor, she constantly monitored us, and when we wanted to go to the basement floor to look at other bags, she told us, "If there are any bags you like, I will find them and show them to you. You cannot freely browse the other floors." She even rolled her eyes at us in front of us, which was extremely rude.
We felt very uncomfortable with this employee's attitude, so we simply left the store. The customer service at the Japanese Prada store was completely different from what we experienced in Taiwan, and we were very disappointed. The other employees were fine, but this particular woman was extremely impolite. If they couldn't allow us to browse freely, they could have politely explained the situation to us, instead of giving us that nasty eye roll. It made us doubt the standards of the brand's employees.
