Yoku Moku Aoyama Main Store — Restaurant in Tokyo

Great pastry shop and very friendly to foreigners! I even came in after the gym one day and they were still very polite to me. The one manager spoke very good English and offered very pleasant conversation and service.

The pastries have really great flavors and textures. There was a nice balance of flavors in the pastries I tried. The apple pie was my favorite. Visited Yoku Moku's Aoyama store to pick up some cigare cookies for the trip home. These are some of the tastiest and most buttery cookies! I also had to try one of their pastries. We came at 11:40 and did not want to wait for their famous apple pie (it is not served until 12 -- I regret not waiting) so tried their chestnut mont blanc. We had a really nice break with some pastries. The wait was a bit frustrating since the majority of pastries were sold out, but yet the taste was great. Tea and the ruby mocha were great, the Sakura mont blanc was a good surprise (the association of Sakura and matcha was delicious). The crème brûlée pancake was more disappointing, bit massive and lack of sweetness in the dough, but too sweet with the caramel. All in all it's a nice place...
