The Sakura treatment at The Ritz-Carlton Tokyo Spa (120 min – ¥72,732) is pure luxury - like stepping into the life of a princess. 👸 Every therapist I’ve met is wonderfully attentive, and if you arrive 30–60 minutes early you can enjoy the bathing facilities before your treatment. It’s a one-of-a-kind experience that leaves both body and mind deeply relaxed. 🌸✨

Sakura is an original treatment unique to The Ritz-Carlton Tokyo, and I highly recommend it if you are staying at the hotel. Online reservations can be difficult, so I always book directly with the staff. From August 2025, they’ve also introduced services for kids, and I look forward to returning with my daughter for our first mother-daughter spa day at the Ritz.

This location is gorgeous and has spectacular views! The spa is located on the 46th floor and the views from the room with the jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and cold plunge has chairs that are looking out to the spectacular city views. The relaxing room is so comfortable and has fresh juice. The tea they serve you makes you want more!! Only issue I had with this location is that you can’t use the swimming pool if you use their spa like at other Ritz Carltons.

At a 5-star hotel, swimming is only allowed in one designated lane of the pool. Another lane is reserved for participants (it’s unclear for what), and the large comfortable area is for children. Why, when I’m paying $2,000 for a room, should I be limited to swimming in the middle of one lane?? Plus, you’re required to wear a swim cap in both the pool and the jacuzzi.
