I heard a lot of love for and hype about walnut before visiting but I was sadly disappointed. I do imagine if you’re local or can’t easily buy some of the popular European and American yarn brands online or want to see them in person then you’d love this shop. The selection felt a bit limited for the size, a lot of “same but slightly different” imo. I was hoping for more variety in Japanese brands or brands I can’t easily get in the states but to my knowledge there was just daruma (who has a standalone shop not far from walnut with the same offerings) and amirisu. It’s worth noting that even with the yen to usd conversion rate in my favor I don’t think there was any difference in the yarns I can get at home, maybe even more expensive but I really only noted that on a LBA base I know I love.
I was also disappointed to receive zero greeting or interaction from the person working there, there was only one other person in the shop and they did not appear to be busy. It was about an hour from...

Didn’t see Habu textiles Lots of imported yarns, some (Shibui, Hedgehog Fibres, Qing, Rosapomar, etc.) are quite expensive whilst others like Brooklyn Tweed are reasonably priced. Bought Amirisu’s house brand linen yarn, Wanderlust Linen, and Cohana...

Will definitely...
