Roger's Glass Bottom Boat Tours — Local services in El Medano Ejidal

Very awkward and uncomfortable excursion who do not keep their word. We purchased this ahead of time based on their reviews for my husband and I and our two young children knowing we were coming here off our cruise with no instructions on how to arrive. It gives you the address on the booking, not how to get to the dock which is over a mile from where tender boats drop you off from the cruises. That would have been nice to know at the time of booking. Our tender from our cruise was late so we called several times and texted before our time slot and were told it wasn’t a problem. After exiting our tender, we asked around to locals and were told we had to walk all the way around to the other side of the marina (over a mile) to dock D in 95 degree heat and 90% humidity to their location. We arrived and the workers with rogers shirts were standing around, talking and eating. We were asked to walk another quarter mile to a boat chartered by another company “sea sports” and it got super awkward. The tour guide did not speak any English (they claim to be bilingual and translate in English and Spanish) and did they whole tour in Spanish with no translation and we had no idea what they were saying. Everyone on the boat were locals and were looking at us and laughing like we were in the wrong place. They don’t drop you off where they say they will (lovers beach) and you can’t communicate with them to say otherwise. I texted and called the company and was told their previous captain “slipped” so they had to make other arrangements and then we were told we would be refunded and never were. We were offered another boat ride but we had to return to our ship and we don’t have any plans to return to cabo anytime soon to which they offered a refund but never up held it. I reached out to them again only to be told they would look into it only to be ghosted again. We spent over $25 per adult on this, $10 per child and walking into Cabo we were offered $5 pp with transportation to the boat instead of walking. DO NOT RECOMMEND! Their 5 star reviews are fake. Don’t bother booking and just purchase from those offering it when you come...

In a word: WOW! My husband and I (from California) made our plans on the Roger’s website before we left, which was a totally smooth process. Suzanne, the owner, was super helpful answering any questions we had. She even helped arrange for (smooth, safe, reasonably priced) transportation from our hotel to the excursion and back and had a lot of great helpful hints in addition about places to eat in the area (as we were staying in San Jose del Cabo and weren’t familiar with Cabo proper). Marco and Rojelio, our crew, were the best! Super friendly and accomodating. You could tell from the first minute that they really wanted us to have a great time — and we did! First we went snorkeling and swam with SO many fish, thanks to Marco’s insider info about the best places to dive. Then we went whale watching (our first time) and actually saw whales — right by the boat, like 6 different times! It was a really exciting trip. And I gotta say, I got super seasick at one point and Marco and Rojelio were very patient and compassionate. Also, my husband and I are both native Californians, but don’t speak a lick of Spanish, like idiots. Thanks to Marco and Rojelio, communication was no problem, super smooth. So, 100% we WILL be back and we WILL enlist Roger’s for what we know will be another great experience....

Our boat ride was amazing, Hernesto was a great captain and that experience was amazing hands down. Come to find out when we dock at the end he leaves and the photographer who we had no idea was a photographer from a separate company showed me the pics she took and airdropped them to me. She then after airdropping them to me told me it was $150 USD dollars. Equivalent to the one hour private boat ride we just took which was $150 USD. This soured our whole experience. We felt scammed and that they were not transparent. Had we known in advance we would’ve felt more comfortable and also said no. The photographer was introduced to us originally as just another person who know English more. The experience was great originally. But we completely felt scammed and trapped and that made us upset.
