Sergio's Silver From Taxco — Local services in San Miguel de Cozumel

We went to Cozumel with our friends who have been many years. While there, I wanted to get wedding bands for our wedding in April. Our friends have been coming to Sergio for years making pieces and repairs on other jewelry for them and suggested his shop as out first stop, as they had some work for him too. I had a vague idea of what I wanted and tried to explain so. I have an unusual shaped ring and wanted a band that would fit to it with Opal and maybe a few small diamonds. Sergio listened to what I wanted and worked with me narrow down a better idea. He kept my ring for a day to make a mold and fit it perfectly to my current ring. He needed about a week. When we came back he showed me what he had made. It was EXACTLY what I was looking for. It is BEAUTIFUL. It looks better than I could have ever hoped for. It is solid, smooth, well made, quality ring. And he made this ring himself, for me. I could not be happier with my experience at Sergios and the piece he made me. He listened to what I wanted, worked some absolute quality magic and gave me a fair price. After seeing the work he did with this ring and the work he has done on my friends pieces, I hope I can always have him work...

We went in today from the direction of our neighbor. He told us this IS THE PLACE TO GO. we were looking for a bracelet for our son. The selection was beautiful. We chatted with Sergio in the first few minutes about the artists who make the jewelry and the history of silver in taxco. He was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic. There was absolutely no pressure to buy anything. Which we liked as a lot of vendors are very pushy these days. We settled on a nice bracelet and a pair of earings for our daughter as well. And after all was said and done we sat around and chatted for about 45 minutes until other customers required attention. I would highly recommend this place to everyone. It is a worry free place you can be garunteed you get what you pay for. And also supporting many artists and 4th generation silversmith sergio. We thuroughly enjoyed chatting with him about raising our families. And the futures we all want for our children. Words cant say enough. We passed by Sergio's a few days ago while in Cozumel and I must say it is worth the visit! There are a ton of beautiful pieces available. From unbelievably intricate pieces to simple but unique pendants, you can find what you are looking for there. My girlfriend was looking for a specific starfish pendant that we saw online but turned out to be a bit bigger in person. I think it was Sergio Jr that came to the rescue by instead finding a slightly smaller earring starfish and turning it into a pendant on the spot. Simple and quick solution that she absolutely loved. The pendant I found was purposely oxidized to give it that look. I had originally picked up a silver necklace that was much brighter until they showed me one that perfectly matched the pendant. All subtle details but it goes to show the level of care the whole family provides to their customers. An added bonus is their no pressure and welcoming atmosphere.
