When I signed up for my second Himalayan trek organised by Magical Nepal, I expected a breathtaking adventure, but what I experienced exceeded all expectations! This journey was nothing short of magical, and I can't praise the team at Magical Nepal enough for the incredible experience they provided.

From the moment I landed in Kathmandu to the final farewell, every detail was flawlessly executed. The itinerary was thoughtfully designed, ensuring we could savour the beauty of the Himalayas while experiencing the unique culture and traditions of Nepal.

The trekking guides were not just knowledgeable but also incredibly passionate about sharing their love for the Himalayas. Their expertise and encouragement were a constant source of motivation, making even the most challenging parts of the trek seem conquerable.

The scenery along the trek was nothing short of awe-inspiring. Majestic snow-capped peaks, serene alpine meadows, lush forests, and charming mountain villages—all contributed to an ever-changing landscape that left me spellbound. The photo opportunities were endless, and I felt like I was walking through a postcard at every turn.

The accommodations and meals exceeded my expectations. The tea houses we stayed in were comfortable and provided much-needed warmth and comfort. The local cuisine was a delightful surprise, and I was introduced to a variety of traditional dishes that showcased the flavours of Nepal.

But what truly set Magical Nepal apart was their commitment to responsible and sustainable tourism. It was clear that they cared deeply about the environment and the local communities. They emphasised Leave No Trace principles, and our group was conscious of preserving the pristine beauty of the Himalayas.

The highlight of the trek, undoubtedly, was reaching the Everest Base Camp. Standing in the shadow of the world's tallest mountain is an experience I will cherish for a lifetime. The sense of accomplishment and the sheer grandeur of the surroundings were both humbling and empowering.

The camaraderie among our trekking group was another beautiful aspect of this journey. We started as strangers but quickly became friends, sharing laughter, stories, and encouragement. It's amazing how the challenges of the trail can bond people from different corners of the world.

We were originally recommended to contact Pradeep and Magical Nepal from a friend. We are so glad we chose this company to complete the 13 day Manaslu Circuit trail. Our communications with Pradeep were fantastic: from our first questions about which trek to pick, detailed explanations about trip logistics and even recommendations for how to spend the rest of our time in Nepal. As this was our first time in Nepal, it gave us a lot of confidence to book the trip. Pradeep was very responsive, clear and knowledgeable.

Once we got to Kathmandu we were able to meet with our guide - Narayan. A few days later he picked us up from our hotel and from there we met with Aayush who would be the trip porter. The journey from Kathmandu to Machhakhola was long and we were definitely tired by the time we reached our first tea house, but both Narayan and Aayush made sure the journey was smooth and we were comfortable every step of the way. This attitude continued for the whole trip and both team members did everything they could to make our trek special whenever they had the chance.

Narayan was so much more than a guide during the trek, he took care of any of our needs or worries for all 13 days we spent together. He has a lot of experience as a guide (over 10 years), but with his relationships to the local communities in which you stay are almost as impressive (he knows everyone!). He truly goes above and beyond to make your experience the best it can be - working to get you great rooms, making sure you are part of the decision making process on a daily basis and getting extra perks for food/drink along the way. Overall our experience was great and I can’t say enough good things about Narayan. He is a genuinely kind, friendly and funny person - all which are welcome as you spent long days hiking.
