Gaju Suite Hotel — Hotel in Kathmandu Metropolitan City

AVOID.

We were dumped in this room as there were no more available rooms in Kathmandu Eco Hotel, which we were meant to stay in. The staff told us Gaju Suite Hotel and Kathmandu Eco Hotel are under the same owner so we need not worry. Quite the contrary.

Unfortunate that they wouldn’t first ask us if we were even comfortable with this change?

The room we were dumped in was worse for wear…Chipping paint, peeling floor tiles, some electrical box cover hanging off the wall. Also, no power sockets by our beds to charge our phones, absolutely bizarre.

Don’t even get me started on the toilet 🤮 I’ve been to cleaner public toilets than the one in this room. When trying to use the shower, the heater didn’t function and the tap to shower button switch popped off the wall. Something was wrong with the toilet plumbing as flushing only brought in more dirty water.

Our stay was an absolute nightmare here compared to another 3-star hotel we came from...

Gaju suite hotel is really a great deal for my stay for a week.|The hotel is situated just near the main road of Thamel marg and easily get all taxis and all shops and resturant and in near it.|It also provide nice breakfast.Room are spacious.We take a two bed room suite at 4th floor and there are also one living room and full phase kitchen in it.We got two fridge a microwave oven and a stove top with a kitchen hood and safe locker in there also.Ac of the room works fine.Two toilets are working fine.|We enjoyed lots over there.|They have a elevator and the staffs are really very much professional and helpful.They made our travel more memorable.|The hotel is just 100% safe to stay.No need to worry for anything.|The money exchange is just below in the hotel.|All thamel activities and all kinds of shops are just around the Hotel.|I just feel home in there.Hope to stay more and more further.|THANK YOU GAJU SUITE FOR MAKE OUR TRAVEL SO...

Great location in the heart of Thamel. Very friendly staff. Amenities decent enough, could use a little spruce but all working fine.

However, do not stay here if you intend to get any sleep. My room (level 2) is positioned right beside a local bar that is blasting music and since there are no working powerpoints beside the bed, charging a phone and trying to listen to relaxing music with headphones to drown out the bar is impossible.

Other rooms/level may be more comfortable but wouldn't stay here again or choose this hotel if it weren't being provided due to a tour for the noise...
