Hotel Thamel — Hotel in Kathmandu Metropolitan City

To the Management of Thamel Hotel, to all the directors CEO and all the management commitee..First of all a big thank you for providing best quality of hotel, comfy rooms and great service. Would like to describe a few instances about the services given by your staff. ( sorry if i describe the prefix wrong) Ms. Ranjana Basnet, Ms.Bijaya,Mr Kedar Dai, Ms Shrabya and Ranjana, Ms Sangeeta and Augura provided a world class services when needed. Sorry if u had misses any one's name. When we had requested for a room with balcony Ms.ranjana had provided it instantly. If Mr Kedar Dai had not came to wake up at morning 04.00 am we would have definately missed our Everest flight experience. A man whom the guest can trust on to give u a wake up call or even arrange a cab early morning. Sangeeta and Augura will provide u hot coffes with a smile on their face. Would like to describe one event on the day of check out the receptionist had charged us room tariff also which we had already paid online. Since we were late to airport my wife had not cross check the bill amount. On Arrival at Delhi we encountered this billing mistake. So i had called the hotel reservation and described the event. He told me to write a msg to a whats up no. Similarly i had narrated the incident for couple of days we had not got good response. I thought i had lost my money close to 3200 INR. but Bijaya used to tell me dont worry once we get any indian guest we will repay your money. Yesterday 02nd oct i got my money back special thanks to bijaya who had made this efforts in getting my money back such kind of efforts builds not only business but also a long unending relationships. It builds a trust which are more than a hundred dollars value. Such staffs who are putting their efforts to build such relationship are an assets for such businesses.. we are also in hotel industry we are hungry to get such kind of staffs who can work for us. Overall all the staff, hotel rooms, foods, services, location are excellent. Any guest who is arriving in Kathmandu can blindly check into this hotel and there is nothing to worry about anything. I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Thamel, and I must say it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome, especially the front desk officers, Bijaya and Muna. Their warm hospitality and professionalism made check-in a breeze, and they were always available to assist with any requests during my stay.

The hotel’s facilities are top-notch. The room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed, ensuring a comfortable stay. One of the highlights was the buffet breakfast, which offered a wide variety of options to cater to all tastes, from fresh fruits and pastries to hot dishes. It was a perfect way to start the day.

We had two excellent stays at Hotel Thamel on either side of our Annapurna Circuit trek. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and we really appreciated the aircon and having a balcony to sit out on for a breeze (we were staying during monsoon season). The location couldn't be better, we had easy access to al the restaurants we wanted to eat at, and we were able to walk to Durbar Square and other areas of Kathmandu comfortably.

The hotel breakfast buffet was great! Many options, both Nepali, Indian and western, and we enjoyed getting our eggs cooked different ways each morning. The hotel also kindly provided us with a packed breakfast the morning of our trek when we had to leave early - thank you to the wonderful kitchen staff!

We felt really at home during our stay. Special mentions to the excellent hotel staff who looked out for us every time they saw us - Ms. Alesha, Ms. Muna and Ms. Aruna, and Mr. Akshunnd and Mr. Bijana. And also to Mr. Kedar, who always sincerely wished us a warm hello each day.
