I booked a private cruise with Rederij Nassau to celebrate an engagement with 18 of my friends. The experience from start to finish was easy -- everyone that I interacted with was professional and incredibly helpful. They helped me select a boat and plan the afternoon, making helpful recommendations about what food to order and what drinks to have on board. When I realized that I had submitted a request for the wrong day, they bent over backwards to make my intended date work. I was easily able to submit my deposit online.

On the day of the tour, everything went completely smoothly: they were at the designated pick-up spot and the boat was exactly as described. The boat itself was well-kept and the crew was incredibly friendly, making sure that everyone enjoyed their two-hour cruise around the city. We had a late member of our group and they were even able to help us coordinate picking them up along our route to ensure they were able to enjoy the rest of the time with everyone.

I can't think of a single negative thing to say -- if you're looking to rent a boat somewhere in Amsterdam for any length of time, I would highly recommend you...

From the moment we boarded the boat, the skipper seemed disinterested and unwelcoming. There was no warm greeting or introduction, and it immediately set a negative tone for the rest of the journey. Throughout the tour, the skipper hardly provided any information or commentary about the landmarks and points of interest we were passing by. It felt as though they were simply going through the motions without any passion or enthusiasm for their job.

What was even more off-putting was the skipper's impolite demeanor towards the passengers. They displayed a lack of respect and patience when answering questions or addressing any concerns.
