Awful experience at Tauriko Crossing today! I have been eyeing up a pair of boots from Merchant for months and finally decided to go and try them on. I walked in with two staff members behind the counter. Another customer occupied one staff member, but the second blatantly ignored me and decided to look around the store herself instead of helping me find the shoe I wanted. She stared at me for a couple of minutes and then went behind the counter once again, and what looked like she sat on the floor. I couldn't find the shoe myself. I waited for the first staff member; she found the shoe I wanted and my usual size but then proceeded to go back to the counter and talk to the other staff member, who proceeded to talk to me from the other end of the store instead of coming over and helping me with the shoe. They were both unhelpful with the sizing, and I had to figure out myself that I needed to go up a size. She told me they could order the shoes in another size, but I had to buy them first. Not knowing if it would fit correctly, I wasn't comfortable paying $400 for this experience in store . It wasn't a complicated matter to help me from the start. I felt unwanted in the store in the first place, and it made me feel absolutely awful...
Read moreWent in on Saturday and bought a pair of $300 shoes then when I got them home the heal was not glued correctly so I took them back on Sunday to swap them over. The girl was not helpful at all and was new so didn't know what to do so told me to come back on Tuesday. After a lot of guidance from me about what she could do she phoned the manager and offered me the ones off the shelf, which I didn't want. The only heal that was not glued was the left so I suggested that I just swap the left but no that couldn't happen either, so I left with my defected boots, emailed customer service, who responded with "I will let the regional manager know so that we can do better in the future" and I am left with defected $300 shoes that I had to glue with no assistance from the store and still haven't even heard from them, which is a real shame as this used to be my go to shoe store, but the quality of the shoes is dropping and the service is appalling if the manager is on...
Read moreRarely do I get time to shop. Needing a nice pair of walking shoes I was delighted to find a lovely pair of shoes and both staff members were very helpful. I decided to wear them home, the girls offered a bag for my old shoes. I proceeded to pay, and the girls were embarrassed to say NO CASH was the company policy. They suggested I went upstairs to the information centre and bought a voucher and used that. On principle I declined and will tell everyone I know. To say the banks are pushing this is not good enough...push back. If you are watching the direction that the U.S. is going you would have to be asleep to not see that freedoms are constantly being eroded and it ends with your access to your money. There is a growing movement of people boycotting businesses that won't deal in cash and even some offering discount to those who use cash. Very...
