The man who owns this place is racist. From the time we walked in until the time we paid and walked out he piped on about Chinese and how his store doesn’t carry Chinese stuff and to go over to center of the town if we want Chinese souvenirs. Okay, fair. I’m sure those stores have Chinese souvenirs but it mostly felt like he didn’t want us there because we are Asian (Korean Americans who grew up in the U.S. and speak English as our first language). How he treated us when we went up to pay (unfriendly, just told us the price and we paid) vs how he treated white Americans before us (long convo about the U.S. and the visitor’s job as a nurse) made it pretty clear to my sister and I whom he wanted in his shop vs whom he didn’t want in his shop. I first bought a bar during my trip to New Zealand in 2025 and instantly fell in love with its scent—it’s truly the best soap I’ve ever used. Ordering through your website was a wonderful experience, and my soaps arrived safely a few weeks ago.

Read moreThis place is a must stop for locals or world travelers. Everything is made in New Zealand and has gone through the good taste of Frank to make it in the shop. I honestly had a hard time deciding on what to get because everything in there was so beautiful: yarn, earrings, magnets, cards, ceramics. I ended up going back a second time during our short visit to make another purchase and I'm so glad I did. We need more artist made shops like this in the world to keep it colorful and fun. Also if you're lucky, Frank roasts nuts and they are delicious! Make sure to get some of those if you can!! Looking forward to supporting this business over the Internet until I can make it...
