After completing my 12-week study period at NZLC, during which I spent wonderful and memorable days, I would like to share my impressions of this experience from both the academic and administrative sides.
On the first day, we were warmly welcomed with a detailed orientation about everything related to student life. We were also given a tour of the institute and a city tour to get familiar with the surroundings.
On the second day, classes officially began. New students were placed into their classrooms according to their level. I consider myself very lucky to have been taught by Alexandra, a truly amazing teacher who treats her students as if they were her own children. After several weeks, I moved to another class with Marianne, another wonderful teacher. Her explanations were simple yet unique, and her cheerful personality brought joy into the classroom.
The teaching system across classes is quite similar, with the main difference being the teaching style of each teacher.
As for the student services department, they did an excellent job supporting students with any issues and providing activities and recreational trips that enriched the overall experience.
I cannot finish without mentioning a very special person who stood out from the rest – someone who works with extraordinary dedication and sincerity. That person is Soo. It is difficult to describe her in words; she is truly a legend.
In conclusion, this was a wonderful and enriching experience in every aspect. I am deeply grateful to all my teachers, especially Alexandra...
Read moreNZLC its one of the best institutions that I've had the chance to study at. I've been studying there for more than five months now. and as a former teacher, I'd like to talk more about the my personal impressions.
The school has two campus in Auckland, 5-minutes-walking far from each other. Both of them have a very solid and confortable structure, yet some rooms don't have a window, what can make some people, inclunding me, feel bothered. Anyway, the school have a satisfying structure.
Likewise, the teachers team is very qualified, with great professionals. I've had until now, 9 teachers, and a great experience with most of them. The special highlights were two great professionals, Andrew and Mia. Everyone should have a chance to be taught by a cutting edge professional like them.
Similarly, the school provides every afternoon, after classes, extra activities. Some of them are really interesting, and can give you an extra boost to your studies.
However, everything has its own drawbacks, and this school could not be different. In spite of the great professionals that I've mentioned, you might not have the same luck that I had. It wasn't rare to see complaints about this. Moreover, some classes could be really frustrating. The IELTS class is the perfect example of a class that could have been improved.
Having said this, I'd strongly recommend the school, especially for those who travel to New Zealand with learning english as their...
Read moreStarting my abroad journey with NZLC was the best choice ever, as I couldn’t imagine I would be surrounded by such a supportive and friendly environment. My 48-week programme not only improved my English skills and helped me achieve IELTS, but also gave me an opportunity to build friendships with students from many different countries.
I would like to say thank you to Claire, James, Rider, Quentin, Richard, and Anico. Without them, my English skills wouldn’t have improved as much as they did. I’d also like to give a special thank you to Claire, who was my first teacher in Lesson B when I started at NZLC. I really appreciate and admire her teaching, as she helped me improve my speaking skills and build confidence rapidly. She is an empathetic and supportive teacher who cares about her students, including me. She listens , understands to what we need, and walks alongside us to help us achieve our goals. Through her guidance, I’ve gained not only English knowledge but also the courage to step out of my comfort zone. I’m pretty sure many of her students feel the same way.
In conclusion, being in the right school and guided by the right teacher made my journey in New Zealand more meaningful than I ever expected. If the future students are looking for the right place, I’d highly recommend NZLC and Teacher...
