The locality is great but we were mightily disappointed. A lot depends on luck of the draw, I imagine but do not accept apartment 1L. Just under $300 for a studio. The place is tired and needs work. No bedside lamps, broken curtain rail, air conditioning doesn’t work, although pics show stove and oven (they are disconnected but they have pots and pans - no microwave bowls, though), the bed is a fold out, the shower is tired (yuch), there was no coffee maker and the integration kit on the fridge door is broken. We stayed here in March 2015 for 3 nights. Great and spacious one bedroom apartment. Accommodation was fitted with everything we needed and the apartment had a wonderful view over the water to Auckland bridge. It was a fantastic place to stay, the kids had room to play and we were close to all that Auckland has to offer. Right opposite the Hilton hotel .
