My family came here during dinner time and the service rendered was way below for a 5 star hotel. It totally didn’t felt like a 5 star service.
Upon settling down to our seats, we were just given the food menu. Drinks menu wasn’t given. We had to wait a good 10 minutes or more for it. It was a digital menu for the drinks. Why can’t the menu for the drinks menu be standardised for a print one? And it also seems like they are short of the digital menu for the drinks menu.
Secondly, the soda that we ordered was not served with the meal we were having. And we had to follow up when we were about to finish our food. Water refills were totally lacking, we had to prompt the server every now and then for refills. Is this the standard we are going for Makati Shangri La?
On top of that, the female servers in particular were not that hospitable, they seem that they can’t wait to go home and like they are so done with work.
Next comes the waiting time for billing, this was the most horrible part, it took forever. I looked around me and the guests weren’t that many too. Why the long waiting time? I also find out that they did not key in 2 senior citizens discounts for the billing despite being given 2 cards for the discounts. This is atrocious!
Definitely not recommending this for anyone to visit unless you wanna...

It was my first time to enjoy the lobby lounge of this hotel even if I have been to Makati Shang numerous times. Met a friend here for breakfast and I had the Ube Panna Cotta which was very light and heavenly. My husband had an Ube Ensaymada and he liked it. The Americano coffee we had was also quite good.
They do have a full menu so if you wanted to have a relaxing meal in the midst of casual elegance, this would be the...
Read moreMy sister and I went here last Saturday, and I absolutely loved the ambiance. The live music playing at the lobby lounge in the evening made the atmosphere so soothing and enjoyable.
When it comes to the food, I actually prefer it over what I’ve had at Edsa Shangri-La or The Fort. The taste was delightful, and the prices were more reasonable too. The whole experience felt private and relaxing—perfect for a quiet night out.
However, I had to give a low rating for service. Despite pressing the buzzer several times, it took a while for the staff to respond, which was a bit...
