More like a 3.5 but since nothing was horrible going to boost to the 4 side. My boyfriend and I collect Hard Rock experiences all over the world, it is our tradition. When we visited the Philippines we knew we needed to visit one of the 2 Hard Rock locations in Manilla. Not knowing anything about the area we booked a hotel near the Hard Rock Makati. This is the smaller of the two locations and in located in/attached to the large shopping complex the Landmark. As far as Hard Rocks go, both the Rock Shop and Restaurant were small and did not have a plethera of rock memorabilia. Staff - Staff were friendly - the center tables were all empty but apparently reserved, However - we were able to be seated right away in a booth. We were told that at 7 pm there would be a cover/band charge (we entered at around 6 and were done and out before 7). We would have liked to stay for the band but were exhausted from travel. Cocktails- Pretty darn good. He got some Blackberry Drink - maybe the Sparkling Sangria. I got a frozen peach margarita. Both of them were delicious. Mine was a huge heaping serving! The cocktail itself was good but I wasn't a fan of the sugar/salt mix rim. Food - The beef quesadillas we got as an app were super good - served with fresh pico. He was in love with his ribs (I had some, they were nice and tender). I got the twisted mac and cheese. It was too bland for me and the chicken dry. (Can't win them all) The Rock Shop - Prices are expensive - on par or more expensive than the USA (Food slightly less so but still not cheap). The selection is also very small. We were devastated to find out they do not sell the charm bracelet charms (He collects pins - I collect the charms). We were so sad about the charm that we ended up getting a cab and going across town to the ocean front Hard Rock Cafe. This one is also attached to a mall - the Mall of Asia in Fact! I didn't go in the restaurant and the Rock Shop was also small - however they had the charms, several designs in fact! We ended up getting two - one to represent each HR we went to in Manilla.

Went here specifically for the Messi Burger, and it did not disappoint!! Everything else was good also. Quality as expected. We were celebrating my friend’s birthday, and Ate Neyney, our server for the night, was very kind and accommodating! She’s also so bubbly and approachable. There is a door charge of 395 per head after 7pm for the live band & it’s inclusive of one complimentary drink. We got their appletini and spicy mango daiquiri. They were cute but definitely had some punch to it. Really good! There are also non-alcoholic options. The live band was really good!!! Definitely worth the door charge. At some point, we felt like we were at a concert. Bluegrass really put the Rock in our first Hard Rock Cafe experience.

The food and the music vibe are great. However, we’re a bit cheated by the waitresses. Before we had the seats, we asked how do they charge us for live band at 8pm. The lady with pink suit told us to order 2 beers each of us as the tickets, 295 PHP is easy to be done for extension fee. In fact, we ordered cocktails instead of the beers when the live band started, we spent more than 295 PHP per person. After we paid the bill, we saw there’s an additional Drink Charge on the receipt, we’re confused and asked the waitress. She told us that she can provide us some bottles of beer, which means she won’t refund the overpaid money to us. It’s a really bad experience at the end, I’ll never go to this restaurant again.

We’ve been loyal customers for years, but this place has completely gone downhill. This was the worst experience we’ve ever had, and we are NEVER coming back.

I know someone who ordered a salad, and let’s just say they found something in it that shouldn’t be there. Absolutely disgusting. How does this even happen in a place that charges this much? Then, they ordered steak, and it came with no side dish, just a lonely piece of meat on a plate. For the price they charge, that is completely unacceptable.

We also ordered fries, and we waited forever for them. But when they finally arrived, they were cold. Clearly, they had been sitting there the whole time. Then came the nachos, which looked and tasted bad. Absolutely inedible.

And let’s talk about the halo-halo. It was like eating a giant iceberg with barely any toppings. Just a sad, frozen mess. Honestly, who thought that was okay to serve?

On top of that, Hard Rock Clark & MOA has a list of quality beers included in their entrance fee drink selection like Magners Berry, Peroni, Corona etc. which Hard Rock Makati used to serve before. But now, they removed them and replaced them with cheap beers, then had the nerve to say the good ones were not available from the start. What a joke. But when I tried ordering from a different waitress, suddenly, those same beers were available. So were they lying to us earlier?

To make things worse, I specifically told the waitress Cuervo, but instead, I got Patrón, but it wasn’t even Patrón. Are they watering down their drinks or swapping bottles? Unacceptable. We used to spend thousands of money here, but now they have the nerve to charge us for Patrón that wasn’t even Patrón. We don’t care about the money, but honesty matters. We know what good quality drinks are, and this was not it.

And even if it was Patrón, which it definitely was not, the waitress should have listened to the order. We specifically asked for Cuervo, and it’s basic service to get the order right, especially for the prices they charge. But instead of fixing the mistake, they refused to do anything about it. The waitress even said she would get charged if we didn’t pay for it. Ridiculous. They don’t care and had no intention of making things right.

So, we paid it anyway because we didn’t want the waitress to suffer, but we told her straight up we’re never coming back.

To make matters worse, we used to bottle keep, and every time we came back, it seemed like the bottle was getting lower and lower—like they were using it! We never really complained back then, but now it’s just too much. It’s clear they have no respect for their customers.

For the ridiculous prices they charge, the service MUST be good. But no, it’s just another poorly managed place under Bistro Group. Hard Rock in other countries knows what they’re doing, but Hard Rock Makati is a complete rip-off.

And if that’s not bad enough, their system is completely messed up. Sometimes, they accidentally add things we never ordered, or if we order five beers, the bill shows eight. How is that even possible?

Then comes the biggest scam of all—the billing system. When we paid, we got two separate bills: one for the entrance fee (no discount, plus service charge), and another for what we ordered (also with service charge). Hard Rock MOA and Clark never did this.

This isn’t just about one mistake, it’s a cascade of problems. Hard Rock has always been known for its energetic atmosphere, top-notch service, and a commitment to quality in both food and drinks. What we experienced here was nothing like that. Instead of the excitement and excellence that the Hard Rock name promises, we encountered shoddy service, poor food quality, and blatant disregard for customer satisfaction. This is NOT what Hard Rock is supposed to be.

Honestly, Hard Rock MOA has way better service than this joke of a branch. At least they know how to take care of customers. But this place? Never again. Don’t waste...

Tucked away in the Glorietta Mall, Makati, near Gold's Gym, the cafe showcases the things fans expect from a HRC. Rock memorabilia adorns the walls, good music ply the air, American style furniture sets out the floorplan, & the staff are friendly & social while being professional. The menu contains the usual favourites with the addition of some local specialties. My guests went for the Filipino dishes while I focussed on my haystack salad. Everything was fresh & tasty as expected. We even had enough to take some away for later. Prices are as normal for this brand. The Rock Shop is small but well stocked. I was disappointed that the classic logo fridge magnets were out of stock as I specifically collect them but since one of my friends resides in Makati she will check back for me in due course. Highly...
