Mr. & Mrs. Thai — Restaurant in Panglao

Firstly the food is excellent. Flavours were outstanding and the presentation of dishes was very good. They clearly have very talented chefs.

The problem is that - we had dinner twice here in 5 days and on both occasions dishes were served in the wrong order and not for all our family at the same time.

There was a 25 minute wait for two of our party which meant the other two had to start without them or risk the food going cold.

The idea is, for a family as an example, that you all enjoy eating together.

The wait staff are poor in that they are not proactive and you have to ask for everything, often twice at least.

They will not bring service water unless you ask for it and then give you just a small cup that holds no more than a mouth full. They won’t leave the water jug on the table so you have to keep asking for refills.

Ask for a Coke Zero. They just put a warm can on the table and expect you to drink from it without a glass or any ice. Hardly compliments the lovely ambience and feel of the restaurant which has lovely lighting.

On both occasions the loud music they play just drowned out any family conversation and became extremely irritating. We asked the staff to turn it down and they told us they were not allowed to.

Some staff didn’t appear to understand English so we had to repeat the order several times.

It’s okay smiling and being friendly, which was nice, but staff need to be competent and trained properly.

From the moment you walk in, you know you’re in for something special. The food here is excellent and full of quality—authentic Thai flavors that can be made as spicy as you like, beautifully plated, and full of life. Bravo to the BOH (Back of House) for delivering such tasting perfection.

Portions are generous—so generous that I couldn’t finish my plate—and the prices are more than reasonable for the quality you receive.

Service is another highlight. The waiters are wonderful, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, and the same can be said for all the staff.

The atmosphere transports you straight to Thailand with creative details that surprise at every turn. It’s also an Instagram-worthy spot, perfect for capturing the experience.

Behind it all is a well-oiled operation, clearly led by a manager who is a true leader. After chatting with her, I learned she is an experienced young lady with a remarkable background—including time at the Burj Al Arab in Dubai. No wonder everything runs so smoothly.

From Bohol that tasted like Thailand ! Mr. & Mrs. Thai in Panglao is a hidden gem that truly delivers the flavors of Thailand.

We started with the prawn chips from Thailand—light, crunchy, and the perfect appetizer. The fresh shrimp and veggie rolls were super refreshing, and the spicy dip added just the right kick.

The coconut green curry chicken was an instant favorite. Creamy, comforting, and not too spicy—just perfect for the Pinoy palate. Their pad Thai was everything I hoped for: chewy noodles, bold flavor, and that crave-worthy balance of sweet, sour, and savory.

The pork and mint garden salad was a refreshing surprise—herby, tangy, and packed with tender strips of pork. We also tried the tom yum and wow, it was awesome! Tangy, spicy, and super aromatic.

Don't miss the pad kra paw—savory, spicy, and perfect with a side of rice.

We ended the meal with their mango sticky rice and coconut jelly. Sweet, soft, and absolutely the best way to wrap up a Thai feast.

And yes, they’ve got legit Thai milk tea too—sweet, creamy, and the perfect sip to go with your meal.
