Too bad google doesn't allow me to give zero star. This extremely bad experience and the rude waiter ruin my first day at Lisbon. When I ordered the food, I showed a picture of Bifanas which I believed is deep fried so I asked deep fried one when pointing the picture to the waiter. Then they brought me a Bifanas looks like steam pork. Of course I tried to clarify and it turns out it's called deep fried even though it's nothing similar to deep fried, see picture below. They said the one I wanted to order was called grilled Bifanas and obviously it's all my fault because I'm a tourist and I don't understand the local language and the picture I showed doesn't count. The whole conversation was depressing as the waiter was rude and kept blaming me for everything. I can only eat and leave it. In terms of the food quality, the "deep fried" bifanas was dried and tasteless. It's so overcooked that it's difficult to swallow. I did order some other dishes such as fish soup (see picture) which was a bit fishy, salty and got lots of tasteless Macaroni inside, it should call Macaroni soup instead. The garlic shrimp tasted frozen and salty at the same time, it's quite difficult to describe how it taste but it's even more difficult for me to finish them. For the sake of not wasting food, I finished most of them but it's the worst thing I had recently! The best thing on the table was the white wine! I will never come back.

Casa das Bifanas in Lisbon is an absolute delight for anyone craving authentic Portuguese cuisine! I recently had the pleasure of trying their traditional bifanas, both fried and grilled, and I must say, the fried version was absolutely amazing. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the texture was spot on—tender and juicy with just the right amount of crispiness. It's clear that Casa das Bifanas takes pride in using high-quality ingredients and preparing their dishes with care and attention to detail. Moreover, the staff members were incredibly friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall enjoyable experience. Their warmth and hospitality made me feel right at home. If you're in Lisbon and craving a delicious and satisfying meal, look no further than Casa das Bifanas. Whether you're a local or a visitor, you won't be disappointed by the delectable bifanas and the lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Place was almost full (even the extĂŠrieur and the bar) .Lucky i was able to get a table coz i was really craving for a bifana but Alfonso Bifana was already closed. Nice welcome from the waiter. Ordered a bifana sandwich and it came with a fries separately. I tĂ´ld the waiter that i dont need the fries but i was told that it comes with the sandwich. Oh well. The bifana was just so - so bordering bland (compare ing it to Alfonso's) though their hot sauce which i wonder if its really a piri piri sauce was really spicy, which i like. Good thing a french couple in their 70s shared the table with me and i gave them my fries coz madame wanted some fries :) We had a very nice conversation in French: the second thing i like about the experience.

STAY AWAY FROM HERE!!

NO PRICES…please if you eat here ask for prices and no fries.

Indian waiter here is really nasty!!!

My partner and I sat down inside as no tables were outside and ordered 2 bifana and 2 beers.

After he tried to pressure and upsell 2 serves of fries I pointed at the 2 beers size we wanted. I asked for 2 of the smallest beers and physically showed him the beer size we wanted on the table next to us.

He then brought us two massive beers and I said no way I don’t want those!! I pointed again to what we wanted and he said you can only get those at the bar?? I turn around and a local is drinking a small beer behind me. So we just accepted our giant beers.

After we started to sweat as it was so hot and stuffy in there we notice available outdoor tables, I ask if we can pay and then sit outside…he replies aggressively NO! You order inside now you stay inside! I said is outside part of your business? He said yes but outside drinks is for outside and inside is for inside now you order inside you STAY INSIDE! All the locals were looking at him yell at me.

We paid our bill and left the beers there.

STAY AWAY go take your money...

TOURISTS please avoid. I would give this place a Zero star.

Looks like both the staff over the counter + waiters are involved in robbing tourists. If yiu seat down they charge you extra on food but don’t make you aware about it.

We ordered just bifanas and the guy on the counter asked us if we would like to sit down so we said ok.

After we sat down, we were served by a waiter who will smile etc and gain your trust. We ordered bifanas but the waiter gave us bifanas with fries. We said we never ordered fries and he started arguing with us and saying stuff we didn’t understand.

Please make sure you also ask for a bill.

There were a lot of people and got very chaotic as they were just not accepting their mistake . We just didn’t understand what to do. We told him that this is not right and we just paid and left. We didn’t eat the fries but we still got charged for it.

We did a mistake that we didn’t check the reviews. This place is know for scamming people.

Please...
