It was our first visit to the Stargazing and Digital Planetarium Live Show and I recommend this if you have not been here before. There are three main segments to this event. It starts with an informative tour of the night sky in the Omni Theatre, where a Science Educator introduces you to the universe and its constellations. This is followed by stargazing at the observatories, where you can get a closer look at celestial objects through various telescopes. Indoor activity stations offer "I am a Young Astronomer" activities, such as crafting a paper sundial and a simple astrolabe. This event happens nearly every Friday night. There are 7.30pm and 8.30pm slots to choose from. $17/pax.

Amazing experience with the Stargazing at Science Centre Observatory and Digital Planetarium show. The show was beautiful, educational and breathtaking all at the same time. Explanations were educational even for adults but simple enough for kids to understand. Learnt a lot. However deducted a star for the 2nd part which was viewing the planets at the actual observatory. Queued for close to an hour (?) feeding mosquitoes. Understand that mosquitoes are out of Science Centre’s control, however there must be a better way to manage this. If I could suggest, perhaps a waiting area at the spacious indoor area, and going up in groups of 10? Would easily solve all the existing issues.

Every Friday there is a star gazing activity at the observatory. There is a digital show at the Omnimax theater follow by looking at the observatory . This time we got to look at the Jupiter and Saturn. It’s really nice and clear with the telescope. Very educational too with the narration from the staff. 👍. A long wait but it’s worth queueing for.
