The negative reviews need to go walk off the instagram cliff.. The owner and the troop are inviting you to their home to watch their art of almost 50 years with an accompaniment of food/boize to help keep the lights on. So if it's Michelin star your looking for, push on, but if you're kind, sophisticated, and have a brain then come support them.
What a great performance! It's a small mom and pop operation with just enough to get you going until the show starts. Once it does boy does it pack a punch. We know its not a tapas bar but where this place truly shines is with their many years experience in "Flamenco"! Jesus did an amazing job with this group. The troop consisted of 7 individuals all adding to the flavor with a new young recruit who blew us away. Watching the performers truly impassioned in their art brought me and my family much joy to see.
I wish more folks gave them a try for the artistry and just STOP expecting to get a Michelin star 3 course meal when your supposed to be there to watch the artist. BTW, for the folks who were curious about the seafood paella, yes it was more flavorful than any other spot we ate at. Just wash it down with a cold beer/wine and watch the...
Read moreWe paid £70 for a set dinner menu for 2 and flamenco show and was a racket. The starter was a plain sweet corn, lettuce, carrot with a bottle of olive oil and vinegar. The main was an extremely plain and salty paella with only shrimp and mussel. The desert never came to our surprise and when I mentioned it, he pretended first not to understand English and when I showed him the booking inclusion then he told his waiter off. The waiter was particularly disagreable, upset and almost broke the plate desert in the table. This was an extremely disappointing experience and do not recommend this place at all. Although the decor is dated, the restaurant not well maintained, the show was not terrible. There were a few wrong notes from the guitarist who clearly didn't adjust the cords and a few missteps from the others but overall they were ok. It is not spectacular and even the Spanish guy next to us was unimpressed and knew that it was just a tourist trap. He was there as his family in law were from China. I would not recommend it at all and would have preferred to go somewhere else if I knew. Also, 75% of the restaurant was empty, I guess...
Read moreHere are my Proâs and Conâs: â¤ď¸Great male singer with a strong bold voice and great guitarist and dancers. â¤ď¸ Went for a good amount of time. â¤ď¸ Nice jug of Sangria (bought with the drink package option). â¤ď¸Very intimate and cute venue so we were right up the front to see. â¤ď¸ The dancers tried very hard, even though it was really really hot in the room â¤ď¸ Good costumes. đ Staff (not the dancers) were not welcoming and didnât make it feel like a special show. No one greeted us in the stairwell, we had to awkwardly open the doors to the restaurant and ask. đ You could see dancers looking so tired and zoning off while the others danced and they sat on their chairs watching. đThere were 5 performers, and 6 audience members this night, which made it feel awkward. đNo storyline or explanation of what the songs meant, so you saw the dancers âemotionâ but didnât know why đAt the end of the show we were given a box with lollies that said âtips not includedâ which seemed so arrogant they should have said âif you enjoyed the show, feel free to leave a tipâ - it...
