Soban — Restaurant in Barcelona

I went there a second time because it was so delicious. I will probably go there often. 😋Super, super, super delicious! Every dish is of high quality, well seasoned, and just the right amount of saltiness. Nine side dishes were served as soon as you sat down, nine! Everything was super delicious! Sweet potato meatballs, eggplant, zucchini cakes, tofu... all worth the separate charge, I really like the side dishes. Kimchi pancakes 7 points, mixed bean curd noodles 9 points! Fried chicken 10 points! Super delicious fried chicken, mixed bean curd noodles are not too sweet or too salty, just right and very delicious. The sausage army pot is more suitable for more people, there are three kinds of sausages, instant noodles, vermicelli, rice cakes, tofu, and more staple foods are easy to fill up. I recommend the tofu soup, which is very fresh and sweet, and it is super good with the rice in the store. The rice in the store is also 10 points! The rice is delicious! I will definitely bring my friends to patronize again 😘I called in advance at 8 o'clock on Christmas Eve to ask if there is a vacancy and then made a reservation. The service attitude of the young man in the store is very good and can communicate in English. The food is delicious. I believe one of the top Korean restaurants in Barcelona. 👍

But it is impossible to make a reservation with them. I really wish they can make this part better, so leaving a comment. The restaurant never pick up the phone even before during operating hours. I tried more than 30 times for the last several months. There were a handful of luck they got the calls. I'd wish they can be more attentive to reservation calls. It takes me almost 1 hour to be at restaurant from where I live, so it is very important to know whether there are seats. One day I gave up, and just directly went to the restaurant with a risk that it is closed. It was open and not many guest, so many rooms to make reservations. I asked one of the staffs, why didnt you pick up the calls, the staff said, oh because if we are fully booked we dont really pick up calls or we were busy. I was there for 2 hours+ in dinner. The restaurant had so many empty tables, more than half were empty in the whole dinner time. Idk. 🤷‍♀️ I think they are loose good amount of sales just by not picking up...

This is my favourite Korean restaurant in Barcelona and the one I always recommend to friends and family who visit the city. The entry to the restaurant is tucked away on the corner of an eixample street, so it is a hard place to stumble upon if you don't know where to look! I have been here 5+ times and I still regularly get cravings for their Kimchi bokumbab (kimchi fried rice), Japche noodles (sweet potato glass noodles with beef and veggies) and the Dark gang jung picante (sweet spicy crispy fried chicken), their food is just so delicious.
