I recently visited this store and purchased an earring and a ring. The earring, which cost 125 euros, was disappointing in quality; the clasp wouldn’t close properly and kept falling off. For that price, I found it absurd that the product was so poorly made.
I returned to the store, hoping for a refund, only to be told that returns weren’t allowed and that I could only exchange the item. No one had informed me of this policy when I made the purchase, which felt surprising, as I’m used to being clearly told about return policies at stores in Copenhagen. When I questioned it, they pointed to a notice written in Spanish—a language they knew I didn’t speak.
I left feeling frustrated and misled. It seemed like a deliberate tactic to withhold important information, making it easy for customers to miss crucial details about returns.
Thank you for your quick response—I really appreciate it. However, I’m still struggling to understand the logic behind this policy. If refunds aren’t allowed for “hygienic reasons,” how does it make sense that exchanges are permitted? The same concerns would apply to an exchanged item, so this explanation feels inconsistent.
While you work on adding the policy in English for transparency, it would be helpful if, in the meantime, the staff could inform customers verbally. This small step could prevent a lot of confusion and improve the...
Read moreWe recently visited the store on Calle Almirante on my girlfriend's birthday expecting only to purchase a small piece as a reminder of our trip to Madrid.
Instead, as a result of size of the range and the quality of the pieces we ended up leaving with 2 sets of earings, 2 rings, and a beautiful necklace.
We were attended to by Flora, who did an amazing job of running us through, almost the entire range of pieces, giving us a lot of information on the various types of semi-precious stones and some insinght into the brand heritage.
Had it not been for Flora I expect we would have picked a piece and left, but she made us feel so welcome, suggested lots of pieces, let us try them on for size. Even though it was approaching closing time, we never felt rushed (we actually kept her late), we had a lot of fun, and Emma absolutely loves her jewellery from Madrid.
Thanks you so much for making it a special visit Flora! I would highly recommend anyone visiting madrid to make a stop at one of the Tiahra stores to take a look at the excellent workmanship, available for most budgets.
