The taste and quality of the food and drinks do not justify the prices, perhaps they have to compensate for the decorations and location. If you want similar quality, but pay less, I would recommend TAKOS al pastor, although you would have to wait in a queue. For those looking for better quality of food, drinks and service, and willing to pay a bit more, try La Tomata or Puntarena.

The margaritas we ordered were terrible, one of us lived in Mexico for three years, another has had her fair share of margarita nights, and I can make a pretty good margarita to save a party. None of us could not drink more than a sip, the drink smelled bad and tasted terrible. We asked the waitress to take away the cocktails because they were bad and bring us beers instead. The bartender came over to check on us, and when we said the margaritas were not good, he had the audacity to ask if we have ever tried margaritas in our life???? I quietly replied that we came to this restaurant because all the good ones were full, and will definitely not repeat that...

We had a booking for 3. We decide to invite a friend last minute so we are 4 arriving. We sit, start eating and LESS THAN 45 MINUTES later arrives the worst manager ever : we still have the food in our plates and in our mouth, LUCIA the manager put the bill on the table, asking us to leave. Reason : the next people who booked to eat are here, waiting at the bar and we are occupying a table of 4 as we booked for 3 only !!! So guess what : we have to leave the table with our plates and glasses still full !!! Unacceptable behavior, shameful guest service, lack of professionalism, manner and respect to the customer.

The only positive note : Thank you to our nice waiters though for trying to make it up with shots of tequila !

La verdad ... Todo estaba correcto pero no encontré el "sais pas quoi" que le hace especial a parte del ambiente y la localización. Fuimos 3 y compartimos platos. La comida correcta, tomamos unos tacos -la carne estaba buena y en su punto pero... Sin más... La costra, que es el plato favorito de mi cuñada -he de decir que ellos van seguido porque verdaderamente lo aprecian- y me pareció falto de carácter y creo que también tomamos una farolada -plato favorito de mi hermano- que, bueno... Me faltó el refuerzo de sabor mejicano... No picante digo... Carácter! En realidad creo que han hecho un gran esfuerzo por hacer una carta mexicana made in Spain, lo cual se agradece, spanishmex... Pero yo he ido varias veces a México y he viajado y comido en la calle y restaurantes en varios estados y la comida es deliciosa... Con carácter, sabores y aromas que no he encontrado en Lupita... Me ha dejado un poco falta de "quiero volver". Bueno las margaritas de mango no las probé pero tenian un pintón y mis acompañantes estaban dispuestos a repetir. En cuanto a postres... Tomamos tarta de queso que nos dijeron que era casera - lo preguntamos varias veces - pero... era comestible.. y ni de lejos casera o la nuestra por lo menos estaba congelada por dentro. El personal es agradable y teniendo en cuenta que era un sabado me pareció que nos presionaban un poco para que dejáramos la mesa... Y... Les falta un poco de profesionalidad, conocer la carta y recomendar... Es un restaurante mexicano y que te ayuden un poco a la hora de pedir puede cambiar tu experiencia en Lupita de 0 a 100... (Una última cosa... Si pones de aperitivo unos totopos con salsas... Que los salseros tengan salsa... Es decir los nuestros estaban casi vacíos).

Pagamos en total 78 euros los 3.... 25 por persona con un plato, una margarita y un poste compartido.

Resumen: Puede que me equivocara en la elección de los platos... posiblemente volveré porque a mí hermano le encanta... Pero me gustaría encontrar algo más de cariño en los platos, en el servicio y algo más de sabor y carácter mexicano... Como solo ellos...
