Cannibal Raw is a standout restaurant located in one of the nicest neighborhoods in town. From the moment you see it from the outside, you can already sense that it’s a cozy and inviting place. The warm lighting and charming exterior draw you in, but it’s the experience inside that truly sets this restaurant apart.
The service at Cannibal Raw is exceptional. The staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome and taken care of, and the sommelier is a real gem. He’s not just knowledgeable—he’s passionate about wine and knows exactly how to elevate your evening by recommending the perfect bottle to complement your meal. His expertise really adds a personal touch that makes your dining experience feel special and thoughtful. The rest of the team is equally kind and attentive, always ready with a smile, which adds to the overall relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.
Of course, the food is the star of the show. I highly recommend trying the different tartares, which are a must. The tomato tartare is a unique and flavorful take, the tuna tartare is fresh and perfectly balanced, and the classic beef tartare is as good as it gets. Each one offers something a little different but equally delicious, and they really showcase the creativity and attention to detail in the kitchen. The menu has a variety of other dishes that are equally impressive, but the tartares are something you don’t want to miss.
Don’t leave without trying the desserts. The cheesecake, in particular, is absolutely incredible—rich, creamy, and the perfect way to finish off the meal. It’s one of those desserts you’ll be thinking about long after the night is over. Paired with a great dessert wine, it really adds a sweet, satisfying end to an already amazing dinner.
Another thing that makes Cannibal Raw so memorable is the vibe. It’s a very cool, stylish place with a modern yet laid-back atmosphere that makes you want to stay for hours. It’s the kind of spot that’s perfect for an intimate dinner or a night out with friends, combining great food with a comfortable setting. One detail I won’t forget anytime soon is the bathrooms—they’re just as stylish and cool as the rest of the restaurant, which adds a fun, unexpected touch to the whole experience.
All in all, I can’t recommend Cannibal Raw enough. Whether you’re there for the excellent service, the fantastic food, or just the overall atmosphere, it’s a place that leaves a lasting impression. It’s the kind of restaurant that you’ll want to return to again and again for the consistently great...
Read moreWe had been recommended this restaurant by a local and were wowed by the decor, ambience and atmosphere. Unfortunately, this was the only element we were wowed by.
Upon arrival, the service was shocking. Despite having a reservation and being the first people in the restaurant, we were ignored and left standing by the door for quite a while.
We then waited 20 minutes to order, only to be told that three of the four things we wanted ‘had finished’ (the restaurant had only just opened). Other people began to arrive and we noticed that they were given bread and were served quickly. As a result, we asked for bread and were given it begrudgingly, with the rock solid butter arriving 15 minutes later.
Our main courses were nice (despite one being cold) and we were beginning to regain some hope in the restaurant. We then ordered a key lime pie for dessert but were told very bluntly that we can’t have it so we assumed this was because it had also ‘finished’. Much to our amusement the table next to us (who ordered dessert long after us) were served a key lime pie. I pointed this out to the waiter who confirmed it was key lime pie but said the chef said ‘no more’.
At this point it became very clear that non locals were treated very differently from locals, with no care or consideration. This experience was extremely disappointing and if you want to come here, I would think very carefully about it if you are...
Read moreNot my first time there and again a splendid experience. My taste buds are still excited. There were 4 of us and we shared a lot of the food. Not a single dish was sub-standard. The carpaccio and ceviche are superb, the recommended wines complemented these very well (Allende 2009!). The starters are very interesting too. 300 euros in total with 4 bottles of wine over the afternoon. Beautiful room downstairs (for what occasions?) and original toilets (not to everyone's taste among my guests). Friendly but professional staff. UPDATE after dinner on 5th Sept. 2018: 3 people, superb food again but... 15 minutes waiting once seated with staff available but completely ignoring our table at the end of the restaurant, we eventually had to ask for the menus. The experience not as good as usual, no discussion with the waiters, no advice, not the usual passion for their food and wines. I told this to who seemed to manage the place on the night (direct feedback is essential in my opinion) and he appreciated my comments, as much as someone can appreciate criticism. But to be clear, the food was again superb, sardines, oysters, salmonete, cevice de corvina, Peruvian tenderloin? a bit too sweet, tartar and wine (dehesa de canónigos). I loved the background music too, various cover songs by...
