Found this cafe when we’re looking around for coffee ☕️
From outside cafe looks aesthetically appealing which made us want to try.
The coffee aroma lingering in the air once open the door is a plus point.
To my surprise they offered varieties of coffee, from espresso, latte, cold brew to dirty latte - in fact they even have edible coffee cup latte 🥰
Ordered an espresso (fresh blue), dirty latte and a raisin swirl danish - later on add another espresso (house blue).
Fresh blue espresso made from local Thailand 🇹🇭 beans while house blue comprised of beans from Ethopia, Brazil, Kenya and Columbia.
Fresh blue espresso don’t have the body I normally look in a coffee, it’s a bit light and lean towards the sour with hint of sweetness
While house blue espresso had more body, still it’s missing the nutty taste. It’s also slightly sour and sweet but can taste the earthiness.
Simply dirty is not bad, perhaps it will taste better if I had it during noon when the weather is hot 🥵- the cafe was merely empty and it’s super cold 🥶
Danish is just as good but nothing to shout out about
Overall it’s a pleasant experience and definitely will try again if came across blue cheri...
Read moreThis was a strange experience. I asked what they serve a dine in hot matcha in and after confirming it was a porcelain mug and not a plastic cup, it took an insane and bizarre amount of time for the order to be placed. In the end I was charged for a matcha and soy milk (even though I was not getting soy milk) in order to be charged the correct price? Very strange. Is this because it’s usually served in a plastic cup and a different size? Then what are all the mugs used for? Too strange.
Then when the order arrived, it was luke warm and not hot. 205THB (just under AUD10!!) for a disappointing matcha that I barely drank half of.
One plus, they had a charging station for...
Read more— Quality Treats for the Farang-Inclined — Tucked inside the Mahatun Plaza building, Blue Cheri Coffee blends modern café style with a menu that seems designed to comfort farangs and farang-at-heart locals. I went for the Cheri Delight Set—a smoked salmon bagel and a “Real Farang Chompoo” (guava) juice—for a total of 289 THB after a 50 THB discount. The bagel was decent, but the juice stole the show: fresh, aromatic, ice-cold, and crowned with a piece of frozen guava. The downsides? No card payment accepted, forcing me to part with precious cash. Prices lean toward the higher side, but for homesick expats or anyone craving a well-made Western-style bite, it’s a...
