I ordered the build your own platter with a 450g wagyu short rib, 200g of the french cut of smoked brisket and the pork sausage. The sides were the coleslaw, potato salad, baked beans and corn salad with 2 pieces of each cornbread and buttermilk biscuits. Everything was phenomenal. You could eat the short rib with a spoon, it was so tender and juicy and the smoke flavor was right there but not overpowering. The brisket was perfect. Juicy and smokey and the perfect amount of fat. The sausage was excellent but I only ordered it to complete the platter. All the sides were fantastic and not generic. The coleslaw is creamy and full of flavor but not just mayo and sugar. The potato salad is mixed with fresh ingredients and not just loaded up with mayo. The baked beans were very unique. They were hearty and savory with chunks of pork belly instead of just swimming in a sweet bbq sauce like most places do. The sauce of the beans works really well with the smoked meats. I barely had any room but I managed to squeeze in a few bites of the cornbread and biscuit. I'm really picky about cornbread and this was not my favorite but certainly not bad. The biscuits were perfect and are really good with a bit of the herb butter spread on. If this place were in the USA it would be an institution, so to have this in the heart of Thailand is like having a taste of the best of what American cuisine has to offer. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Billy Smokehouse, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm, welcoming atmosphere that perfectly complemented the rustic and inviting decor.

The star of the show, of course, was the food. Every dish we ordered was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The smoked brisket was incredibly tender and juicy, with a rich smoky flavor that was simply unforgettable. The ribs were equally impressive, falling off the bone and seasoned to perfection. After the closure of my regular ribs restaurant, which I had been visiting for years, I was thrilled to learn about Billy's Smokehouse, which sells similar style foods.

A mere 6-minute walk from BTS Phloen Chit, Billy's Smokehouse is located within Mahatun Plaza, along with many other great restaurants and shops. Upon entering Billy's Smokehouse, I was welcomed by very friendly staff who showed me to my seat and brought me the clipboard menu. One of the first things I noticed about the menu is the diversity of foods available, from different types of sandwiches, burgers, soups, and varieties of ribs and sides offered. As it was just the four of us, we ordered our usual, consisting of: A fresh Caesar Salad, which offers a refreshing start to the meal with its crispy lettuce and crunchy croutons. A Chicken Cubano sandwich, crunchy on the outside and tender chicken on the inside, which pairs well with the pickles. The fall-off-the-bone ribs, sausages, and a mountain of slow-cooked pulled pork with a side of cornbread, a form of damper bread, and slaws and sauces.

Everything tasted amazing; everything was flavorful and satisfying to eat.

I didn't have any dessert during my latest visit, but I have tried their pecan pie in the past. It was a little too sweet for my liking, but it was delicious nevertheless.
