Transatlantique Tunis Hotel — Hotel in Tunis

I stayed in a double room with my friend for 6 days and it was better than expected regarding the price... Great staff including the cleaning ladies, café workers and receptionists. The room was cozy at the very least, attached with 3 windows/balconies and a small refrigerator and air conditioner and private shower and a Wi-Fi and a TV. The included breakfast was at the hotel's café which you enter from the street like public, the staff are respectful and friendly and the offered meal was nothing more than a cup of latte and a pastry and cup of jus and some condiments like butter and jam, very standard if you ask me. I stayed at this "hotel" in february 2023 and it was the worst experience!! The bed sheets were dirty and the day after the night me and my friend both had a skin rush, very itchy and that left scars on the skin (we slept in two different beds).. When we asked for a reduction in the price for this inconvenient the guy at the reception made a lot of arguments, even if it would have been fair not to pay anything. We also saw other beds in order to change room and none of them were clean. You can read the same complaint also in other reviews so avoid going to this "hotel"! Unacceptable. Unfortunately, I suggested this hotel to my relatives who were visiting. During the night their skin started to itch and at morning it was seriously irritared. They then found bugs and dirt in the bed. After more than a week the scars are still evident and serious. It is a true damage, which we even paid for. Don't look at the pictures if you are sensitive.

Even worse, when we asked for a discount in light of the terrible experience the employer was unaccomodating and stingy. At least they apologized.

Please remove the 1 star recognition. This is not a one star hotel, it is a minus...
