Toys R Us — Local services in Abu Dhabi

I was told flat out by a sales associate that Toys R Us does not guarantee the quality of any of its toys. This was in response to enquiring about an exchange for what I felt was a faulty Hot Wheels toy.

The full story: We bought a Hot Wheels car for my son. When he opened the package the car slipped from his hand and one of the wheels bent on the axel. We have had several Hot Wheels toys previously and were shocked by how easily this one was damaged. We have come to expect more durability from this brand based on our experience with numerous Hot Wheels products. When I went to Galleria Toys R Us to explain and inquire about an exchange, the sales associate informed me that there was nothing we could do because the product had been opened. That’s when I asked whether the store guaranteed the toys that it sold and was informed that it did not.
