Route One Bath — Local services in Bath

I love Route One. I have been a fan for many years now. My last visit was in the Southampton branch (very good). This particular store is another story though... I do not think I have EVER recieved service like this. This is something the CEO of the company should be made aware of! The service my partner and I recieved was OUTSTANDING. We were in Bath to celebrate her birthday and I thought now was the time to buy a skateboard. I was shocked when I found Route One had a store here. We popped in and had a quick browse around and picked up some clothes we liked (Route One clothes #Reppin). A young man (I did not take his name but he was wearing a beanie and had a ring piercing in his ear) asked if we needed any help. He must of spent a good 30-40 minutes with his, going through all of the types of skateboards, the accessories (wheels, setups, grips etc.) He was very professional but also a cool dude and very friendly. He did not push a hard sell or even make anything awkward. He was very helpful and I would recommend this particular to any new skater, experienced skater or if you just love the trendy clothes they sell. The rest of the staff were AMAZING too and so REAL and down to earth. Recommend this store to anyone and everyone! Keep on rocking and never quit what you guys are doing down there! My son and I had a great experience today. I’ve not skated since I was a kid (and pretty badly even then), and it was my son’s first trip to a skate shop. He’d saved up his birthday and Xmas gift money to buy his first board.

I must admit I was worried that it might be an intimidating experience for beginners but I was immediately proven wrong. The staff were lovely, patient with us, super helpful, didn’t give us any pressure… it was great.

We both left with new boards, pads and helmets and a new activity to explore together.

Other stores should go and spend some time with these folks because they’ve got a great way with people. I’ll be recommending to...

I want to leave a review specifically for Guy at the Bath store. What a STAR! He spent an age tracking down the code for a gift voucher my son had lost. Given the time it took I fully expected him to just say it wasn’t possible. But he kept looking until it was located on the system (going back months).
