My wife and I have just returned from a short break to the Cotswolds, basing our stay at Bourton on the Water. Whilst out and about on the Sunday, we heard a clanging noise from beneath our car which continued all the way to our return to our accommodation. We asked our hosts if there was a garage nearby they could recommend to investigate the problem and fortunately V J Collett were situated not 100 yards away from where we were staying. The next morning, we went to the garage and saw Mr Collett who, put the car on the ramp and confirmed that a new exhaust would be required. I have had to use V J Collett on two occasions this year. On the first occasion the planned location for an MOT had to close at short notice due to a COVID issue. When I explained the problem to V J Collett they immediately offered to squeeze my car in at the end of a day in order to ensure I maintained a valid MOT. On the second occasion I needed new brake pads on my Audi; I unfortunately took the car down on the wrong day but even so they were able to absorb my poor planning and carry out the work - they even delivered the car back to me which was incredibly generous of them. I had the wheel alignment done here, regardless of their answers and behavior I immediately understood that I was talking to non-professionals peopoe…and I can only tell you that I had to rebook the wheel alignment elsewhere after 3 weeks, this time in a specialized center, still paying again for the same service ... and I also had to be told by the specialized center that most likely given the initial parameters the alignment had not been done at all...
