I had a mars bar chocolate brownie which was delicious and a huge pot of tea for £2.50 (no price on menu page). However, many of the food items on display don't have prices on them and a sign said 'cake of the day + hot drink £5.50'. There was a big queue by the cakes so I asked the young staff doing ice cream & milkshake what cake was special and they answered rudely "I don't know what you mean?!" I explained about the sign and said "don't you work here?" and "is this the same business?" they were uninterested in what I had to say. Later my sister told me the girl was laughing behind my back just because I asked. It's a shame because the food was reasonable but the lack of prices and some moody staff didn't help. You decide where to go.

Best service I’ve had. Wonderful polite, genuine people. Excellent service. Cakes and teas are delightful. Wonderful to have a tea shop serving GF and VG options! All GF products were covered with clingfilm to ensure no cross contamination, that was reassuring, and nice to see. Gluten-free brownie tasted amazing. Will be bringing my partner here, who is vegan in the future for tea and cake. It nice you can go somewhere and still feel included with cake and food. It’s a small shop so probably best to go in the week when less busy to have the best experience. I imagine it’s quite popular as everything is so tasty and looks amazing. The lady who served us was very helpful and found a tub we could take a cake back in for my partner.

Our visit to the Cotswolds would not seem right without some tea and scones. We found a place in Bourton-on-the-Water High Road and it looked really nice! So the service I have to say needs a bit of looking into as the staff were overwhelmed with the customers and not enough staff to help, we were forewarned there was a 30mins wait for food. I was a bit upset as they didn’t have a lot of the iced coffees (no ice to make them). The food actually came quicker then expected and it did look really good especially the scones! The sandwich I must say wasn’t anything special, a bit bland if I’m honest but the scones were simply AMAZING!! Soft, fluffy and very buttery! Would definitely go back for the scones.

Horrible cafe, appalling service, rude and unprofessional. Went to this cafe today, while we ordered some nibbles, the waitress confidently came to our table and dropped our order and amongst the food were also some pitiful looking olives accompanied by vomit like humus and stone textured bread (which we thought was part of our order - but we didn’t touch it as it looked awful) Few minutes later, the waitress harshly approached me at the table while my husband was away and says to me “ excuse me ! you haven’t paid for these olives and if you could pay before you leave as this wasn’t part of your order “. I said to her that I will check with my husband and let her know. She approached me as if I was the one who took the olives from her. She was the one who put them on our table and then rudely hopped on us to pay for it for her mistake amongst other onlookers. When my husband returned to the table and I explained all to him, he went to ask her what was going on, she tells my husband she will come to our table to discuss the issue with those pitiful looking olives. If they’re short of staff they should hire more people to avoid such confusions and accuse customers of eating wrong food that they serve at the table and force to pay for something people didn’t order. Anyways we hadn’t eaten those olives, so she could munch them on her lunch. My husband told her “ yes, you do that I’ll be waiting and she kept avoiding us so we left. We wouldn’t mind but when an incompetent person tells us we got to pay for something that isn’t our fault and talks so rudely instead of politely explaining us then we got to write a review like this. I will edit this once I find out her name soon. Anyways, the food there wasn’t anything that would take your breath away, there’s better cafes around who provide better service . Try Charlottes tearoom they’re fantastic and service is beyond words. Avoid this dump that tries to con people for their...

Not an enjoyable experience. They obviously have the location so their attitude seemed to lack regarding service and quality because they know they get the business regardless. The young lady behind the till had no desire to be there and it really showed. When I asked what was inside the vegetable pasty ( due to intolerance to mushrooms) she said dont know. I asked if she could check, she went away, came back and said I've asked the chef they don't really know so best to go with "take it that it probably has mushrooms"!!!! How on earth can this happen in today's society around food intolerance or allergies. They don't even know what's in the food they are serving. Then I asked where the scones were to look at and she said not on display. Now I know why. When I opened mine out ov a paper bag it was 2 basic scones from a pack of 5 from the supermarket. Not home made at all. I should have took them back and complained but it was our 10th wedding anniversary and i really didn't want to start it off this way. I would have rather them say they had run out than what i can only imagine happened was them running to the londis next door and buying a £1 pack ov 5 scones. Very...

Went inside, and there were two tills to pay, so I stood in front of one, waiting for 5 minutes to be served. A lady who came in after me went to the other till and was served immediately and ordered a hot drink even though I was the first person in the shop. The staff a highly ignorant and did not tell me to come to the other till or ask me what I’d like to order.

So after waiting about 10 minutes, a bald man asked me what I’d like. I asked for a latte and guess what he said? ‘We’re just about to close so aren’t serving hot drinks anymore’. I wasn’t in the mood to argue so I just left the shop.

Next thing you know I went past the shop again and saw two ladies being served hot drinks 5 minutes after I left. So how come you were closing and weren’t serving hot drinks and refused to serve me yet you go and serve other people 5 minutes later? The bald man saw me looking and stared at me as if he’d been caught red handed. What a joke.

Prices are also ridiculously expensive. A small baguette with tomato and cheese costs £6. Oh, and if you want it toasted be ready to pay an extra pound.

Disgusting attitude and shop, ridiculous customer service and...
