Whether you're in search of a unique gift, craving a taste of local cuisine, or simply looking to soak up the lively atmosphere, there is something here to delight every visitor.

Beyond its impressive selection of goods, the market also serves as a platform for local artisans, entrepreneurs, and performers to showcase their talents and connect with the community. From live music and street performers to pop-up workshops and interactive art installations, there is always something new and exciting to discover around every corner.

But perhaps the true magic of the Brighton Open Market lies in its sense of inclusivity and community spirit. Here, people from all walks of life come together to share stories, forge connections, and celebrate the rich tapestry of Brighton's cultural heritage. Whether you're a longtime resident or a first-time visitor, you'll instantly feel welcomed and embraced by the warmth and hospitality of the market's vendors and patrons alike.

In summary, the Brighton Open Market is more than just a place to shop—it's a vibrant and dynamic cultural hub that captures the essence of Brighton's eclectic spirit. Whether you're looking to explore, indulge, or simply soak up the atmosphere, a visit to the Brighton Open Market is an experience not...

I witnessed male member of staff of Dave Ovett & Sons sceaming at a lady as loudly as possible without a megaphone. You would have thought he had seen her shoplifting. She told me after, that her husband had previously purchased eggs and was told he could pick which he wanted by a female member of staff. Apparently this was not applicable to her. It was a total disgrace to be shouted at in such a manner. (Don't confuse this stall with another selling eggs - nearer to London Road entrance - which is managed by a very nice team).

A totally abysmal way to treat customers. Not at all necessary. A quiet word when paying would have been enough, if indeed necessary at all. I felt really sorry for her.

The rest of the market is wonderful. Nice atmosphere, and lots of nice interesting stalls. Streets cafe is very cheap with nice selection of yummy treats. Tea and cake £1.70. Well you just cant beat that! You never know what...

Unit 41, Marshall’s Row@Brighton Open Market

This is a good place to visit as you can find a lot of the local shops in the Open Market selling different kinds of goods and foods. It will be also very busy where there are any fairs there. I have visited the above shop - ‘Stop look & Listen’ today and you can find a lot of the old and valuable DVDs there. In addition, you may also find some treasures of Lego blocks as it has some old and interesting sets from their display shelves. It is worth to have a visit.

BAKA NEMO Unit 20, Marshall’s Row@Brighton Open Market

Although it is a small shop, but it has a lot of the interesting figures selling there. You can find them at a reasonable price and there are not many places selling them at Brighton. Have a visit next time when you drop by Open Market.

Under COVID 19, it is still open and serve...

If I’m honest I do prefer the old open market Layout with the road coming round two sides but I guess progress has to take over, in keeping with the old market there is still the same CAFE run by the same people yet many of the new stores are run by new owners and are selling products that were not sold previously when the market was mainly fruit and veg, If I was suggesting places to visit To students bargains seekers and those in to all things Vintage. Some people that start a business here do not last long this may be because of the price of products or the amount of footfall that runs through the open market yet you will find that some of the stores have been there since the reopening I’m getting quite a few are missing the old pigeons as well are used to sit outside the old CAFE

Lovely covered market with a range of food stalls, eateries, ethical clothing, produce and treats. We made two trips to Dave Ovette’s cheese and sausage stall it was so good : just inside the entrance to the market it has a delicious range of British and European cheeses at fantastic prices as well as an array of sausage and bacon. There was also a Swedish bakery (Fika) and wonderful range of independent places to buy light meals, snacks and drinks as well as vintage clothing, music and another range of little sellers up on the balcony. Small but perfectly formed! I suspect a lot of the sellers in stalls in the open centre, move in and out during the year. The day we went was a monthly Freegle pop up - everything being given away in Freegle’s spirit of reducing landfill.

Great variety of fresh produce. Check out the fruit and veg shops and the cheese shop where you can get quality stuff on the cheap. Looking for lunch? Little miss piggies has the best selection of gourmet sausage rolls (5 for £3, 10 for £5) The flying saucer in the corner offers some homemade treats where you can sit in comfortable seating while you watch the busy folks swim by whilst sipping on a tasty brew. Other cuisines on offer in there include japanese, greek and a good old fried breakfast! Something for everyone :) Also there's artsy clothing stores, antiques and crafts so it's well worth a visit especially on days when they have craft a fayre on!!
