My husband and I have just eaten at Afghan Cuisine and we had an excellent meal that by UK standards was exceptional value for money. I ordered sheek/sikh kebab and my husband ordered qabuli pulow. We shared a jug of doogh (doogh is a yoghurt-based drink flavoured with mint and salt) and a dessert. The portions of all these very good to excellent menu items were large (my husband had to take almost half his qabuli pulow home). Free of charge, we were given chilled water, chicken soup, meatballs with split peas, garlic-flavoured yoghurt and glasses of tea at the end of the meal. A very good naan came with my kebab. We have already agreed when to return because there are about 15 other dishes we want to try. The room in which we ate (downstairs) is very attractive and the space between the tables is good. The staff are excellent and very good at explaining what each dish contains. Congratulations to everyone associated with the restaurant - and thanks for a...

I travelled all the way from York just to try Afghan Cuisine in Hull, and I was not disappointed. I’ve been to many Afghan restaurants before, but this one really stood out as the cleanest and most well-kept I’ve seen. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with staff who made us feel comfortable from the start.

The food was freshly prepared, full of authentic Afghan flavours, and served in generous portions. The kebabs were juicy, the rice was fragrant, and everything tasted homemade. It’s clear that a lot of care goes into both the cooking and the presentation.

Overall, Afghan Cuisine is a fantastic addition to Hull’s dining scene. For anyone looking for genuine Afghan food in a clean and friendly setting, I highly recommend making the trip here. I will definitely...

We visited Afghan Cusine after a family outing in Hull. Easy parking right infornt of the restaurant. The establishment was very clean and welcoming. We ordered the Afghan Mixed Senee for 2 & A portion of chips. The food was fresh and hot. The 3 different types of pilau were all excellent. All the meats were out of this world. The staff were very attentive and friendly making sure we were happy with everything. The tea at the end hit the spot at the end of a brilliant family meal. Toilets were also very well maintained and clean. All at a really good affordable price. A must visit if you go to Hull. I would 100 percent visit here again....

Great new addition to the area, the restaurant was decorated to a high standard for a nice meal out. We got the 4 person seenee platter which was a great way to try most of the menu and was delicious, the mantu dumplings were great too! We appreciated the waiter being honest about the amount of food needed (we wanted to order more but he said it was more than enough and he was right as we had plenty of leftovers to take home!). Only small downside is they don't serve alcohol and it's not BYOB but this may be down to licensing or cultural preferences which is fine!

Just enjoyed the Most beautiful meal in this fantastic new Afghani restaurant. A wonderful experience from start to finish - service was perfect - food delightful and the ambience/decor was spot on. We had a mixed platter for 2 people and every morsel was divine. Please support this wonderful independent restaurant - a great opportunity to try this cuisine!
