One Under Brighton — Local services in Great Britain

This place recently opened and it looked very similar to Glowballs so we thought we’d check it out… I feel like the concept is there but the execution just wasn’t… refined

The holes are really short and generally are very much down to luck, you can do most of them in 2/3 turns. The ideas for the holes are good but they don’t seem to work and the place doesn’t seem quite finished. On hole 9 of the games golf the ball literally runs into the fire alarm button in its path which interrupts its flow. One of the holes wasn’t working properly and another the ferris wheel doesn’t work to transport the ball besides very specific occasions. Also in a lot of the holes getting the more difficult pack accurately doesn’t really rewards you (ie things that are supposed to transport your ball into a hole in one don’t actually do it)

The prices are a bit much, 10£ for one course where the holes are short and you finish in 20 minutes seems a bit steep. It also somehow just doesn’t look well maintained even if it’s brand new. The shuffleboard is small and not maintained with any dust to reduce friction and is also very expensive for what it is at 10£ for 30 minutes

Pre-booked both courses and a cocktail as part of a package for myself and three friends. The bar area is laid back with chilled vibes - great service at the bar and cocktails are freshly shaken and were excellent.

The courses (9-holes each) are really fun with interactive elements and great theming throughout. Especially loved the call buttons which meant you could summon a host and order drinks as you played. We thoroughly enjoyed our games and there were even some (fluke) holes in 1!

It would be great to see on future visits, some lockers where we could lock our bags up instead of carrying them around...

Went towards the end of the day for a date. Chill vibes the staff were more than welcoming and funny. Cloakroom available with two different course you can do. Short but sweet would recommend to do both courses if you can as doing one might not be enough. Decor is over the top with amazing reaction illustrations and neon setting.

They also have an ice cream stand at the entrance with around 14 flavours of ice cream. Decent pricing especially as it’s 2 minutes walk to the beach. Close, convenient and creative. Highly recommend for a quick...
