Today we visited this lovely pub. We were impressed by the pub's ambience. The great selection of beers and the friendly staff made our time in the pub enjoyable. We ordered Owton's Corporal Jones sausages, sweet potato fries and chicken nuggets with " spicy kuecup" and chips. The first meal since it was the first time we had it was delicious. The sausages didn't impress but they didn't disappoint either. The sweet potato fries were good. My nuggets were very very dry. It would have been helpful to try them at least a few minutes less. Couldn't even take a proper bite or chew them properly. The fries I had with the nuggets were also pretty dry but if they were a little less oily they would have been really delicious. The Squeaky Ketchup that came with the nuggets wasn't Squeaky at all, it was just plain Ketchup. But the overall...

People can’t hear each other while 10 TVs are showing sports and Lady Gaga is jamming! Even the security guards had a headache and were sorry when I told them about the volume of the music there! People used to go to pubs to drink, have food, and talk to their friends! In Wellington, you go to a disco with loud music and have to sit and shout out at your friends, so maybe you can hear them! Also, don’t forget about the smell of fish in well-used oil coming from the kitchen. At the entrance, the smell hits you...
Read moreThis pub is across the road from Waterloo Underground Station. The decor is tired, and it is quite dark inside. The staff is confused and often provides incorrect orders. The place is busy with commuters and tends to have predominantly male customers. It is quite loud and has music playing. The prices are typically overpriced. I saw many people glance inside and then walk away to look for another venue. There is security around and customers have a bad habit of leaving drinks on your table when leaving. Overall, it is a poor experience that is more suitable for the brutish culture. Not...
