The Red faced, Asian female cashier Lied to me to my face. On 5pm of Nov.25th, I went to redeem my free heat-tech shirt, after queuing up for 10 minutes I was coldly greeted, upon asking for her help to redeem the product, she replied “it’s not available till after black Friday sales period.” Then rudely not making any personal effort to help and turned to folding some clothes. It was bitter and bizarre because a friend literally redeemed hers on the actual Black Friday in another store.
She didn’t bother making any eye contact after the initial contact and was extremely rude, and turned out that she was lying to me, I went to the Uniqlo on Oxford St and the staff redeemed the code and handed me my shirt within 5 minutes. Upon telling the staff my experience, they concurred that the cashier at Covent Garden was lying to me because it’s simply untrue, they only need to process it quickly with the manager.
I don’t say this lightly but I felt subjected of someone being racist against. I feel a certain racial prejudice from the Asian female cashier in Covent garden, I did nothing to her and she lied to me, it felt very personal. I left feeling quite angry and upset.
I really like this shop and shop here quite often, after this experience I will not shop in this...
Read moreA lovely addition to London’s Uniqlo stores.
I’m a huge fan of Uniqlo and I was pleasantly surprised to hear that there was a new branch opening in Covent Garden a few months ago.
This Uniqlo has been beautifully designed with the main shopping area in the middle of the store having a window ceiling that lets in natural light & sunshine and the design of this area of store looks great, a British Tudor era vibe.
This Uniqlo store has many great services too like the UniqloMe which allows you to design your own t-shirts and tote bags. I enquired about this service in-store and the staff was very kind and helpful. I didn’t try this service on this occasion but I look forward to using this service in the future.
I was also surprised to hear that there is a cafe in this new store too. I also hope to give this a try in the future.
There are self-service checkouts on the ground floor and top floor so you can checkout very easily and seamlessly. I managed to find and purchase my items without any issues, a great experience at the new Covent...
Read moreI love this Uniqlo! Really a nice one that’s not dumb crowded. More importantly it’s has a LOT of sales!
PRO: Sales mostly tucked in the back but also in every department. It’s location (tucked away from busy Oxford) Room to move around. Can’t say that about most Uniqlos I ALWAYS leave here with something. It’s not only the sales that are good but also the styling near the displays tell you how to put something together smartly You can almost always find your size Free internet! And plenty of places to sit and use it! Theory attached! Very nice Japanese case attached!
CON: Maybe that it will be found and will start getting busier? A bit understaffed as I do see a lot of clothes need folding.
SUMMARY: I think this is my favorite location of all Uniqlos. Smart, not too busy. It has basics but also styles things so that you’ll have these classic pieces for years to come. Great for all age groups, that’s why you see them all shop here. And the greatest vibe. Very chill here. Eat. Shop. Read. Check up on your phone....
